That's a panic move. That won't benefit Hornets short or long term. That's how bad trades happen.

The Hornets haven't won a playoff series in 15 years. They should panic. They should panic big time.
Different gm and coach now though. I like Mitch Kupchak and James Borrego.

Capela is much more valuable to Houston than Williams who is a decent combo forward who is an okay shooter (not great) and pretty good defender who can't rebound at all. Houston really has no interest in the 12th pick in this draft...doesn't get them an instant starter, and they are playing for now, not a year or two from now.
That sounds pessimistic

Does it matter? They have 85 million tied up in Batum, Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, MKG, and Biyombo. The fact that someone was getting paid to make those decisions is unfathomable.

The past is the past. That's why Rich Cho and Steve Clifford were fired. However, I have faith in Mitch Kupchak and James Borrego fixing this mezz up.

I think Hornets should get Bol Bol at 12. Has future star potential while filling in a need at center for the Hornets.

Every team after pick #1 should draft him IMO. So we'll see if he drops that far.
You would really pick Bol Bol over Ja Morant?

I'm not nearly concerned about his foot as everyone else is. First major injury in his career. Bones grow back stronger, I know that because it's the navicular bone it might really be a biomechanical thing which the risk for future problems should be diminished with something like orthotics or changes in running mechanics or even just general strengthening all of which I would be able to expect having a team competent enough in charge if I was running a team to manage this. Though I know often owners often are wooed by good talkers and not competent professionals so who knows.

Anyway, short answer yes. Reason: Im not as concerned for his injury as everyone else and I think he's arguably more talented than Zion.

Well, Bol Bol is very talented for sure. As for more talent than Zion, you reaching.

I think changing their name to the North Carolina Tar-Babies would be a great first step!

There are plenty of good players later in the draft these days. Look at what the Raptors got from Siakam recently. Hornets have a bunch of 2nd round picks coming over the next two years and we need to make them count. If I could trade down from 12 for multiple picks in the first round I would consider it. Maybe 20, and 22 from Boston, maybe 14 and 22 if they really like someone at 12 that they don't think will last until 14.

The Hornets should go high risk high reward picks until they either bottom out or strike gold. They are in the position no franchise wants to be.
