If I were them I would use that 32 Million to sign really good 3-4 role players instead of trying to be a top-heavy team.

ya they should learn from the Warriors....we know that AD is injury prone, so all it would take is for AD to get injured during the playoffs and they're done.

Umm, Kemba is a very good shooter. Have you not watched him play since 2015?

'16 - 37.1% 3PT on 6.0 3PA
'17 - 39.9% 3PT on 7.6 3PA
'18 - 38.4% 3PT on 7.5 3PA
'19 - 35.6% 3PT on 8.9 3PA

And this is Kemba as a first option surrounded by literally no one. Kemba running around screens, coupled with Lebron and AD's gravity, is wildness unleashed.
It's time for 5 refs.

Go play with Lou Williams or LeBron and AD?

Tough choice.

If Kawai wants to live in la, he's going to the Lakers.

They have the potential to get another guy i think...Jimmy butler/Irving/Walker

that same team lou williams clippers team beat the warriors with durant how many times

now add Leonard to that roster

He does not seem like the guy wants Lebron to shine while he is sidekick to a championship

It's also a nice story if he could take the 2nd team in LA to the finals/championship like he did with the only non us nba team + its possible with their roster

Trust me he aint going to Lakers

it's either Clippers or Raptors........maye New York as third (but that may be a bit of a long shot but still higher than lakers)

Don't think that's Kemba or Butler.

Maybe Vucevic?

If Vucevic is the best they can do then they'd be better off filling the roster out with a few non-max players.

Lebron is old... It will be his and AD team and the possibility to win multiple championships like Kobe&Shaq did.

I think he stays in Toronto. If he leaves, though, I think it’s for the Lakers.

The proper transaction order for the Lakers to get a max 30% slot to sign a max FA is

1) Have trade in principle agreed upon with NOP, where LAL drafts #4 on NOP's direction, #4 salary is now counted towards LAL salary cap and available to use as trade

2) When FA officially starts, have all capholds renounced to free up 30% max slot (KCP, Rondo, Beasley, Stephenson, etc)

http://www.shamsports.com/capulator?id=5172152245d058e803532f069825936

This link shows the salary breakdown pre AD trade, showing 30% max slot available

3) Sign 30% max FA (Kawhi, Butler, Kyrie, Kemba, etc)

4) July 6th, trade is finalized

Ingram - 7.26m
Lonzo - 8.72m
Hart - 1.93m
#4 - 7.06m
= 24.97m which is close enough to AD's 27.1m salary to match

AD doesnt need to waive his trade kicker, but im sure Jeannie would appreciate it itd save her 4 mil cash. Lakers go over the cap after the trade anyway and only have Room Exception + Vet mins to fill out the rest of the roster.

This ... in fact if they sign another max guy I think there's almost no chance they win a title next year.

you really think Kawhi is the type to join a superteam? I don't think so.

If he does... no hard feelings on my end.

2014-2019 haa been the best years as a Raps fan and I’ll never forget them. The championship was the icing on the cake, as I NEVER thought The Raps would ever win the big one.

If Kawhi does go to LA, I’ll still cheer him on, because in my eyes he’s a Raptors legend who’s number will be hanging in the rafters.

1 season, 1 championship... think about it... Kawhi did in one season, what multiple hall of famers haven’t done in their careers... win a championship(let alone their first) for a franchise. Let the man do what he wants.

Haha. No offense, but no one thought that, trust. Kawhi ended "Raps in 4" as an ironic meme forever.

I think they'll get a bunch of vet minimums that will work for them well enough. Get the third star.

People seem to hate their lives when they play with Lebron. I’d go Lou every time.

Why do Raptors fans keep making themselves look bad here ? Lou is maybe our 3rd best player and the kids should all take leaps in the coming years. That doesn't factor in the draft picks and ability to create space for a 2nd max.

Who are some vet minimum players that they could potentially get?

Would Rondo take that much of a pay cut? Do they want him back?

Would McGee? Lance?

Anyone else? Wayne Ellington? Bullock?

I'm not questioning if Vet Minimum players exist (they always do), but I'm wondering who they are and how good they'd be as a fit.
