his short wingspan is a blessing in disguise for him tbh...he doesn't need long arms for his type of game, those arms allow him to have super quick and compact shooting mechs

MPJ is looking to shoot. He'll probably start the year off the bench for Denver. He looks soft and a bit limited on defense, just a bit stiff and vertical as people have been saying. Will be interested to see how he develops.

A bit too stiff to even comes in as bench tbh, he is definitely behind Barton, Craig at the SF position. Maybe a few more pre-season games would help him become less stiff.

just watched some Matisse Thybulle highlights, looks like his defense is translating easily, was probably one of top 5 best defensive players I've seen in college

4.5 steals and 3 blocks per 40 from a perimeter player? yea I highly doubt it. just insane production...there was some criticism there because of that zone defense scheme helped him put up those numbers but he's an elite defensive player and that's already showing here..we're talking Tony Allen type potential on that end.

Tony Allen with a consistent three would've been a prenial all star caliber player.

It's only been 2 exhibitions but on a team full of potential all defensive team candidates, his defense is standing out. You'll love him.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Re: Rookie Discussion [19/20] [part I]
As an outsider, the jumpers from MPJ looked really pretty and completely unlockable. But he seems to have a really odd court demeanor. I didn't feel much sense of urgency from him and his body language just seemed weird.
The Blazers young guy Little looked better than the SL and had a tremendous, A+ athlete type And-1. But he was also dared to shoot a few times and passed it up. This will be a redshirt year and I love his athleticism, frame and character, but he has miles to go and clearly still relies on his athleticism to score buckets.

Zion will win ROY if he will be in close discussion for it just because of the hype surrounding him.

Underrated comment and Simmons is one of my favorite players
