It’s way too early for this discussion to be interesting. Give me a call when Zion starts tweeting about how much he likes Chick-Fil-A

no way, other than Ingram/Simmons, if you were drafting a top 10 the other 8 would be from this class. it's not really that close.
I think Ja has potential

Re: ROTY thread
Zion cause I just believe he's a transcendent type talent. But Cam Reddish will be actually healthy and show Duke fans what could've been if he were. He would have been taken before Barret after this upcoming season results, imo.

Re: ROTY thread
The odds are on the side of a guard getting this award given recent history.
Since CP3 in 2005-2006, nearly all ROTY winners were full time guards or guard-forward combos.
The three big exceptions were Durant, Blake Griffin, and KAT.
It’s not impossible for Zion to win but the odds are stacked against him unless he just has an exceptional rookie year.

The award goes to whichever rookie has the best opportunity to put up the most shots. Zion has to play with Ingram/Jrue and Barrett is going to play with DSJ/Knox.
It's Morant's award to lose

Zion played at Duke with two other top 5 recruits, he'll get his regardless

RJ Barrett in New York with no real other offensive weapon is the easy vote.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

Probably on bad efficiency though which will matter

efficiency usually doesn't come in to play for rookies too much
25/5/5 would probably give him a lock unless zion or ja can somehow get into the playoffs and do close to the same
i'm not all that optimistic that there will be any huge dark horses contending with the top 3
Jordan Poole - steps in and plays as a new splash bro, benefits from playing along side Curry with no Durant or Klay - gets some credit for allowing them to make the playoffs in spite of injuries?
if Clarke would have stayed with thunder could have seen that working out really nice
other than that maybe someone on a really bad team surprises (Suns, Bulls, Cavs....)

If knicks could land Jimmy Butler and another high end role player (preferably a big/ pg)
Could see them making some noise and RJ winning ROY
Robinson/ Dedmon
Ja Green/ Dedmon/ Knox
Butler/ Barrett/ Knox
Barret/ Butler/ Trier
Cory Joseph/ DSJ/ Frank
Signing Butler, Cory Joseph, Jamychel Green and Dwayne Dedmon is attainable

Zion is my pick. I expect him to be very good and I expect the Pels not to suck.
Ja and RJ will probably put up good numbers on bad teams. (If Knicks strike out in FA, that is)
Don't expect anyone else to be in the race.
