What if Kawhi is a mastermind who is intentionally playing the whole league

Plausible?
Maybe.
If Kawhi returns to Toronto, it reads like: Kawhi is intentionally delaying as long as possible, making sure as many rivals as possible are sabotaged. Danny Green could even be in on it, acting as if he genuinely believes Kawhi might leave, playing the media to make his rivals assume larger risks.

I considered this and would love for it to be true. Unlikely but hey, Kawhi is a fun guy.

That would make for something interesting, also a pissed off Lebron and A.D making a beeline for the finals would be pretty spectacular in truth.

by Raps in 4
My sources are saying Barcelona are currently the front runners. New Balance marketing executives have crunched the numbers and it seems a move to Europe is best for his brand.

It's fun to theorize but it really doesn't make much sense when you think about it.
Raps barely have any roster/cap flexibility anyway.
Clippers still had the money to re-sign Beverly and make a few other additions. They don't mind staying patient and keeping cap space open anyway since their end goal is to eventually land a couple of star players, either this summer or during a future summer.
Lakers are the ones who would be the ones that stand to lose the most since they would've turned to someone like Kemba or Dlo if Kawhi decided early on.
So the only way I could maybe buy this theory is if he ends up signing with LAC and basically puts a big dent in the Lakers free agency plans. The Clippers benefit from that a lot more than the Eastern Conference Raps.

Nah, he's probably trying to weigh up the decision. I suspect that he does want to go to LA but also wants to run it back at least once with Toronto and probably enjoyed his time in Canada. It's not an easy decision.

He should just take a year off and tour the world while he's still young.

We live in the era of trolls. I wouldn't be surprised if the face of the league, an introverted robot, is just playing all of us.
Kawhi is the Cheshire Cat in the cartoon Alice in Wonderland. I'm posting the video, so you can see what I mean.

Thought about it. It’d be next level by him, but I would definitely cry.

+1 for inclusion of Cheshire Cat
My 4th grade teacher bore a striking resemblance to the Cheshire Cat.

He's coming to a california team, my instincts & the basketball gods are the ones who will see it through, He could of avoided all the free agent lollygagging if he knew he was goin back to the raptors 4 or more years, but i think he also knows the raptors shipped off arguably the most loyal raptor they had, Demar Derozan
and sure they catered to Kawhi's every whim because they were trying to seduce him into staying long term but they lied and told derozan he was in their long term plans and they shipped him to a organization that Kawhi despises...the decrepit spurs
he's either going to the Lake show or the Chippers

the lakers are potenially a title contender if they started making moves after the ad trade (I'd argue making moves could have brought them there without said trade, but i digress), it doesn't matter if you're in the east or the western conference, weakening your rivals increases your chances of winning. Not that I'd assume that's the intention but depending on how you play things, making sure the lakers don't have the pieces to potentially beat you in the finals(not that the raps are assured a place there) is a pretty logical course of action, regardless of what franchise you play for.

More likely in one of the meetings someone said "Don't worry Kawhi, just take your time" and he literally is
