If this were a ranking of who you would want as your second best player George would be on top.

Lillard is a franchise guy that just led his team to the WCF.

I think the numbers and on court impact stuff is close enough that the leadership stuff tips the scales in favor of Lillard. He’s also not actively injured.

Kevin Durant is by far best out of these ten players, Paul George 2nd best, but I voted for Lillard because George is going to miss in October and November around 15 games, and Durant will miss in October, November, December, January, February, March, and April around 82 games.

What makes you think George is likely to miss 15 games at the beginning of the season? I just did a quick search on some fantasy sites and they said the latest update is that he’s “likely to miss pre-season”. There’s obviously always some risk with a player who finished the season hurt compared to someone who was healthy when we saw them last, but it seems likely that George should be pretty close to 100% for the season.

From my experience, CBS sport for years has most accurate injury reports and updates.





Reports which use theoretically fastest possible recovery time for Durant and George make no sense. Nobody is that stupid to risk anything about the max-contract level players because of one single month of their play.

BTW here you can see Oladipo case too, which will be out until December, which is the only reason I do not nominate him but Kemba.

I haven't been voting for Durant, though he is likely to be very good in 2021, because unless he comes back and directly pulls the Nets through the playoffs, I consider a healthy star more important for 2019-20, the object of this poll.

I voted George over Lillard, which was tough given the injury. For #10 looks like it'll be Lillard in a landslide.

Serious question, do people really think that Gobert is really just outside a top 10 player in the NBA? I think that’s way overrating him. Maybe barely top 25 but hell no to top 15.

Just because he doesn't play like a lot of the other top players, doesn't mean he isn't just as impactful.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. The people that voted other guys over George are still voting people over George.

Well west coast going to favour the guy they've seen in the playoffs the last 5 years. East coast will favour PG13, I imagine he still wins the poll at the end.

George got out of the 1st round in the east 7 years ago. Not sure if it's a coast thing.

Well, as predicted George has streaked ahead. I think there is a bias because Lillard has much less exposure to the east fans.

Before last season I would have absolutely voted for Lillard, but PG brought out his career season and I think he will continue on that level for 1-2 more seasons, with better coaching and supporting cast.
