How is he only a little behind on offense? Luka is shooting 3’s off the dribble, he’s changing speed, making lucid decisions and stuff, while Siakam only drives, spots up decently and passes.

Luka averaged 23/9/7 in the 37 games he played after Jan 1 last season. And that's with him playing only 32 mpg. If he was playing 35-37 mpg like Beal and Kemba, his stats would look more like 25/10/8.

I'm not saying Luka was better than those guys last season. But he wasn't far behind, and he was just a rookie. It won't take much for him to pass those two next season.

Like how exactly are we supposed to determine where an Injured Durant ranks next season?

I’m so sick of hearing this. I definitely don’t agree he’s top 2 in the game if healthy. Kawhi, LeBron, Giannis, and AD all clearly better even if he had a miracle recovery IMO and Harden and Curry are both on the same level. Durant was #4 in the retro POY project last time we had a vote before this injury. The year before that he ranked #5. The year before that? Also #5. He hasn’t actually been a consensus top 2 player since 2014 and even then he was overrated after a terrible playoffs. By the time he recovers as much as he’s going to, he would have aged out of the top 5 anyway.

I don't see it as a poll of the previous season but a poll of the upcoming season. That's why the thread is called "RealGM Top 25 Player Poll-#18 2019-20". It means it's kind of a prediction. I actually predict Luka to be somewhere between 8-15 this season, much higher from all the guys currently listed.

Not sure how that makes sense. Both Kemba and Beal have similar impact stats. And neither was able to lead their bad team the the playoffs. Charlotte had more victories, but had also a better supporting cast.

They were close offensively (Beal more efficient; Kemba better ORPM) and both are bad defensively (Beal had the edge though). But Beal’s going to be 26 next year and could still get better.
