You answer two different questions in a single answer. You tell me what you like and don't like about Ayton currently and tell me what you expect of him during his prime based on what you know about him.

Right now Al Jefferson. If he gets at it on defense then much better than that

Reminds me of a combo of Karl Malone and David Robinson. He has the potential to be a top 5 player, he’ll come out shooting 36% from 3 point range this coming season and average 23 ppg with 11 rpg.

 I think in his prime he'll be KAT on offense and similar to a guy like Aaron Baynes on defense.

I don't think he'll ever be in a different tier ABOCE Kat on offense or ever an all-defense guy, but I could see him being better than Baynes on defense.

I expect: KAT offense and Aaron Baynes defense.
Obviously he will have "wow" moments defensively, so Baynes probably isn't a great comp there.

I'm thinking that his "going through the motions" defense will be Aaron Baynes level one day. With more explosive plays occasionally happening. On offense I hope he stays in the post even though I expect him to be a knockdown three point shooter before long. He'll probably be making off the dribble threes at a 35%+ rate in his prime.

I had him #1 overall last year and said his career will probably beak from 28-33.

Great centers usually peak later.

Edit: I voted MVP/top 5

Are we talking fantasy team? DeAndre is going to be a top 5 player.

But when it comes to winning basketball games, DeAndre is going to be just good enough to make you a treadmill team in perpetuity.

You gave a list of singular answers for 2 completely separate questions.

I would Start the thread over again and ask one question.

One of thr worst foul drawing bigs I’ve ever seen TBH.

It’s literally the ONLY thing that will hold him back from being All NBA in the future (assuming he never does draw fouls in the future)

Which doesn't mean much considering the true big men aren't what teams are pursuing as much as of late.

If you're talking about the 3 ball he will have it sooner rather than later...

this doesn't mean much but:

I wanted to vote allstar, but not #2 on a championship team. I think this needs one more option in the middle of 2 and 3.

Really excited to see Ayton with a real pg next season. Definitely potential to be a future mvp. Ayton is one of the most athletic bigs ever in the nba. 7’1 with a 44 inch vertical.... but still has an extremely soft touch.
