So they are using a stunt double for basketball scenes when the actor is a professional basketball player? Makes sense.

Have you seen how far CGI has come with deep fake videos? Besides, I’ve seen worse.

I have no idea if this is real but remember that they're going to be doing multiple day shoots and the moves they might want for those shots are less NBA and potentially more AND-1 street ball.

Plus, the last thing everyone including LeBron would want is for him to tweak something doing 50 takes of a dunk.

This dude has been LeBron's double for over a decade. He's only going to be used in long shots, insignificant shots or stunt shots where the insurance company does not want LeBron involved.

Yea this has got to be a joke. That guy is less athletic than Bron. At least they should hired some super athlete.

Imagine guys like 50+ jackie chan hearing that Lebron needs a stunt double to play basketball. Sad

If anything LeBron should be a stunt double for an actor who is playing a basketball player in a movie, not the other way around.

Maybe this guy will be doing stuff like jumping out of a window or doing gymnastics and/or dangerous stuff that isn’t actual basketball, cause I can’t see why NBA players, who are the most skilled people in the world at displaying elite basketball skills, wouldn’t do the scenes that involve actual basketball in a movie like Space Jam.

IIRC in Uncle Drew most of those guys did the actual basketball in the movie. Or at least it really, really looked like them - especially Kyrie and Nate Robinson.

That's not really important in the movie industry. The flashes of this guy will be brief and you wont even notice anyway.

Lol - or maybe this means this guy will actually be showing up at Lakers practices and non-national televised Lakers games pretending to be LeBron - hahaha!

Maybe there's a hard foul scene. Or like you said jumping out of a window, the Looney tunes are involved , there can be all kinds of mischief. Usually Body doubles are common practice.

Yeah - it’s got to be stuff like that. I really hope if LeBron is dunking or shooting in the movie it’s actually him.

NBA fans will be able to tell the difference if it’s not - after watching these guys play so much we know how they move. If a bunch of NBA players put on masks and clothes that covered their bodies and played a game, I bet most of us on this board would be able to identify who they all are really quickly.
