???

doesn't mean it's not guaranteed, just means that they expect him to play for both G League and NBA team this year...this is normal for the majority of 2nd rounders, especially Bol who needs to rehab his foot.

lmao you cannot be serious

Bol Bol seemed to be pimped heavy by the fans here. I didn't know that much about him, so thought him falling to second round was okay. However, the Nugz signing him, even to a two-way, makes me question why? Don't they have enough bigs?

They are going to develop him just like MPJ. The difference from MPJ is that he can play some G-League now.
Canned in Denver.

Serious about what? That most 2nd rounders sign two-way contracts? Some do, not most. That it's guaranteed? Two-ways aren't guaranteed, by definition. They can have up to 50k salary protection, but that's unusual. So I can't tell what you're serious about.

Nah its a big difference cause you gotta really ball out and turn heads in the G League to actually get some burn on the main team. It would be much better for him to have a guaranteed deal with the Nuggets and then get some run in the G League for guaranteed minutes and development. Our first round pick from last season Jerome Robinson was with the main team and suited up for the Ontario Clippers but he has a guaranteed deal. A good number of 2 way players don't get any run on the main team. Its a very low risk deal for teams and if that player doesn't show anything he could be gone the following year. Bol Bol dropped all the way to lower 2nd round and is now on a two way deal means he's got a big uphill battle.

that doesnt have to do with anything, 2 way contract just means he doesnt take up a roster spot, and it makes sense considering Denver is going to be vying for PO positioning all year and can use all the bodies they need off the bench for this season.

I'm just waiting for a team to sign both Tacko Fall and Bol Bol so we can have a Tacko Bol.

I wonder if a green room invite on draft night ever ended up on a two-way contract before..

There's a branding-image stigma you have to overcome when you're a G Leaguer or 2 way player in hopes to one day become even a decent rotational player on a main NBA squad. He still may very well be in their plans but if he was really locked in to be part of their future he would've gotten a guaranteed contract and roster spot. Now I'm hearing the Nuggets don't even have their very own G League team which means the G League coach and team is not even obligated to play or develop him. That happened to one of our picks back in the day(Diamond Stone) before we had our very own G League team. They wouldn't even play him at all. He's not even in the league now. I'm rooting for him but there are no guarantees for a 2 way player.

Denver and Portland are the only teams without a G-league affiliate. I just don't understand their reasoning.

I don’t think some of you understand a 2-way contract

Danuel House played major minutes on a 2-way most this season

Denver has a record of taking care of their players. They've shown that with more than one player. Denver is quite deep and Bol would see very little playing time at center and less at PF. (((But I still expected him on an NBA contract. )))

Can't predict any other team but the Nuggets have curiously had success sending players to other teams G-league rosters. Morris, their backup point guard, Craig, their sometimes starting small forward and Vanderbilt, a bench power forward, all played in the G-league for other teams.
Canned in Denver.

Most of the season? Not really, not on a two-way. They played him so much that his 45 days ran out in January and they had to send him back to the G-league. People may not realize that the 45 days isn't just games--any day that the player engages in practice, drills, conditioning, workouts or travel with the NBA team count towards it. Of course, two months later the Rockets signed him to a rest-of-season NBA contract and brought him back.
