Why? Isiah Thomas's best seasons were in the 80's, but so was Magics, and the former is clearly the better player.

I think he should get in over Mike for the 80s. MJ didn't do anything special in the 80s.

Didn't do anything special?

Ignoring even the 1989-90 season, he averaged;

32.6 points
51% fg
84% ft
6.2 rebs
5.9 asts
2.8 stls
1.2 blks

In 5 seasons in the 90's he accomplished, 5 All-star births in 5 seasons. Rookie of the year. 87-88 Defensive Player of the Year and MVP award. All NBA First team 3 times. All NBA First team 2 times.
Why so serious?

Why are people outraged at an MVP who averaged almost 30 points per game in that decade for making the team?

Nash wouldn't have brought that 76ers team to the Finals.

Now.... That 90s team made me have Goosebumps

He didn't get to the Finals. I know he had incredible stats. These teams I thought were supposed to be based on winning. Isiah won more in the 80s. That's a fact.

Kidd over AI mostly due to being an actual PG.

Look at the link about what players thought of Nash. And who they had in each decade.

I would also argue Billups and Parker over Iverson. Both with chips and finals MVP's in 00's, and when Iverson was traded for Billups we instantly saw who was better player of the two.

Barkley was great for half the decade and Pippen was great for the entire decade, Pippen is favored for strictly 90s.

Barkley carried a team for half a decade. Including a MVP and leading his team to the NBA finals

While Pippen was a great 2nd Banana for a decade.

Pippen's peak in 1994 is not far behind any version of 90s Barkley and than he has about double the amount of years being a great player? Highly in Pippen's favor for 90s, career you could lean towards Barkley.

2010s team would win on the back of how far analytics have come. 3s and drives offense with Dwight lobs would be high efficiency, too much for the other teams to catch.

As sg not as pg, as pg Nash,Kid and Paul were much better.

1) Can we see 50's, 60's and 70's teams ?

2) Dirk should be in the 2000's all decade team and Nash or Kid over Iverson

3) Don't know If they have rights to use Kareem's name but if they have and he isn't on 80's team that's another mistake.

Replace Dwight with Kawhi Leonard and replace Iverson with Jason Kidd, than it's a perfect list.

You can't replace Dwight with Kawhi since Kawhi is neither a 5 or a small ball 5.

And honestly, you know damn well,Leonard needs more seasons like 2019 and 2017 to be in the discussion with the rest of the SFs on the All-Decade teams/GOATs,but you're either heavily influenced by recency bias or you just want to mention Kawhi every single time, just to throw his name out there.

The big mistake with the 2000s is Iverson over Nash or Kidd and putting Duncan over Dirk at the 4. Duncan was a 5. He spent over half of his career at the 5. He only played the 4 because of Robinson. It took them about 4 seasons after the Admiral retired to figure out that TD was a 5 and he never played the 4 again.

If you have the 2010s version of Duncan in mind, sure he's a Center.

The thing is though,Duncan for the first decade of his career and the majority of his titles, was operating outside the post just as much as inside, was taking and making mid-range jumpers from the key,was play making from the high post,he was doing all the things heavy Centers of that era couldn't do.
So for his era,he is a Power Forward. And he was such a brilliant Power Forward to be recognized as the GOAT PF.

Then his left knee gave up on him,he got older,he moved closer to the Basket and became a 5.

I love Dirk,he embodies the modern day PF brilliantly, but you can't just say "Duncan was only a 4 cause of Robinson and he stayed there for another 4 years after the Admiral retired by mistake".Just so you can move up Dirk one spot on the PFs list?

Well those another 4 years after Robinson retired,Duncan had another 2 titles.Meaning he won 4 by the time he moved to full time C.And he IS the GOAT PF.

What black players think about Nash to be precise. There are a lot of things that aren't true in this video:

1) Nash didn't steel MVP's from Shaq because even if Nash didn't won Dirk, Kobe, Lebron and Garnet had better seasons.

2) Shaq didn't averaged 28 15 he averaged 20 and 9 in Nash's MVP year and played ony 59 games.

3) Shaq never averaged 15 rebounds per season.

4) Thing that Reggie said that he would pick Kidd, Payton and AI over Nash in playground is pure nonsense because he is superior on offense in comparasion to Kidd and Payton and only AI is better if we look at scoring. Second thing that he overlook is that Nash is better three point shooter than all three guys and in playground buckets from perimeter are worth 2 points while shots inside are worth one so shooting from perimeter is even more important than it is in the NBA and Reggie was good three point shooter so i know that he know how valuable that skil is. On top of that he is great playmaker and only Kidd is close when it come to playmaking so he would help his teammates to score easy buckets. If he think that they would be better because they are more physical he need to know that good offensive players are much more valuable in playground enviroment . You can be physical as much as you want but more offensively talented player is going to win in 80% of the games.

Iverson put much more fear in opponents than Nash, who never led his team into finals. Nash could never score the way Iverson could, and that's why he was limited as a first option. He played with many great players, including Dirk in Dallas.
