Brady/Jordan, for 2nd place....

There are 4 chances each year for Federer to win a title. Just one chance each year for Brady and Jordan. Divide 20 by 4 and you get 5.

6 > 5

24 titles for Federer would actually be equal to 6 for Brady and Jordan.

NBA = Team Sport... 5 Starters, 8-Man Rotation.
What's 6 divided by 5?

NFL = Team Sport... Players actually only play HALF the sport really (who plays both ways now-a-days?

Over jordan is fine. As for brady, federer has one more major than his own contemporary, and 4 more than another.

That's not going to cut it.

Superbowl rings > NBA championships. However, NBA superstars have far greater impact than any positional player in NFL including QB. It's just the nature of the two sports. I don't think you can't put any NFL players over NBA greats like Jordan.

Alexandr Karelin > all.
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

There’s a reason nobody else is close to Tom while several players have six or more NBA championship rings.

No comparison between winning a Super Bowl vs NBA Finals, particularly for Brady. Football is just too much of a team game. Brady's not even on the field for 40% of the game. When he is on the field, Brady is 1 in an 11 man unit. Coaching is far more important in Football and Belichick is the GOAT. Brady can lead the offense to 10 points and still win the Super Bowl. That's not the only one of his rings he won while playing like just another guy in the championship. Brady wasn't even MVP for three of his rings.

MJ personally destroyed every team he met in the Finals. 6-0 with 6 FMVPs.

Brady is the lockdown defender MJ was...oh wait...he has absolutely no impact on HALF of the game and year after year the Pats are amongst the absolute best defensively that have in fact been so good it was arguably THEIR play that won them a couple rings. BB has been masterful in creating defensive schemes that completely alter their opponents' gameplans and style of play.

Don't get me wrong Brady is absolutely fantastic and the unquestioned GOAT of his sport but I can't place him above another that impacted EVERY aspect of the game, not just half of it, no matter how brilliant he's been on that end (although MJ has arguably been just as good offensively, if not better).

Also not sure how you can be more successful than a guy who won 100% of the championships he competed in and was the MVP of all those battles which wasn't the case for Tom. Not to mention people have questioned during the peak of his career if Tom was/is the best (ie/ Aaron Rodgers) or just the most accomplished, whereas there was/is simply no question with MJ who the man was. But nothing but the upmost respect to Brady for even being in this conversation, he's had a truly unbelievable career.

lol... i dont think anyone takes bill russells rings seriously when he played in a 8 team league where he got to face a team with a losing record in the finals

Russells early rings are less legit then the ones you find in those 25 cent vending machines

no once since league expansion has 6 rings in the nba. kareem is the closest to being legit there with MJ

Maybe I’m wrong, but season by season, Jordan was more highly regarded and considered the undisputed best player in the league for most of his career. Can we say the same for Brady? There’s been numerous years where Peyton or Rogers were considered better. Peyton actually has more MVPs then Brady.

Jordan, because him winning made him a global icon. more so than the Chicago Bulls/

brady is only a national icon. Patriots are more of the global brand, maybe, because they have so won so often in recent memory

No, most of the world doesn't even know who Brady is, at least Jordan's on a one name basis with the world like Pele, Tiger, Messi, Maradona, Ali, Ronaldo (both of them) etc.

Jordan's winning and success made him a global icon.

One and done in the NFL. I don’t think people know how much pressure that is.
