Do you think Raptors NBA title is more impressive than Cavs NBA title?

Obviously, they have rightfully earned their respective NBA Championship.

However, not every trophy are created equal.

I mean, Raptors has the hardest East playoff-run for decades.

- They eliminated Orlando Magic team with #1 defense in entire NBA post All-Star break. They even has the best record in the East during same period (17-8), behind only the Bucks and equal with the Raptors.

- They eliminated Philadelphia 76ers with 4 All-Star caliber players, lead by perhaps NBA's best center in Joel Embiid.

- They eliminated Milwaukee Bucks, lead by future MVP-winner & runner-up DPOY in Giannis alongside with future COTY-winner in Mike Budenholzer.

- They eliminated the reigning champs Golden State Warriors who have previously reached 5 straight NBA & won 3 titles in the 2010s.

Obviously, people is gonna use "Cavs returned from 1-3 deficit" argument on why their NBA Championship is more valuable. However, it required a Draymond suspension, a Curry MCL injury, Iguodala with back spasm & Bogut getting ACL-injury in order for Cavaliers to win NBA Finals.

Yes, Klay Thompson missed Game 3 and suffered an torn ACL in Game 6 during NBA Finals 2019 but that's it. The KD-less Warriors are still contenders. But let's not ignore that Raptors also has injury issues due to Kawhi playing through a bum knee & Kyle Lowry with a broken thumb.

As a Raptors fan, no. The top three teams in the west in 2016 were all likely better than both the Bucks and the Warriors team we faced.

However, it is more impressive than any of the Golden State titles. 2015 because of a comical injury path, 2017 and 2018 because Durant.

Every title is impressive. I think the Cavs had a more impressive Finals series but the Raptors had a more impressive run. I guess if you're a team owner, you'd prefer to have owned the Raptors since impressive moments happened over more games and were thus more profitable lolol

It was an impressive championship run, but it's not up there with the best.

e.g. Dirk single-handedly beat Kobe, Pau, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, LeBron, Wade, Bosh. That's an entire GENERATION of NBA star power.

The thing with Raps championship is it will age like fine wine: ppl will appreciate it more over the time. But it's not 2016, 2011 or 2003-level.

Just because your GF is not 2007 Megan Fox hot doesn't mean she's not hot.

The Warriors winning the 2019 NBA title would have been the most impressive in that they had KD out with a calf injury and then go down with the devastating achilles tear when he came back for game 5. That was a must win situation because they were down 3-1. Then Klay Thompson tore his ACL in game 6. The Warriors were able to prolong elimination by winning game 5. The loss for the Warriors in game 6 was the decider. I think if they won game 6, then they could have won game 7 had Klay not go down. Game 6 was close at 114 - 110 and at Oracle.

To answer your question, I think Cavs victory was more impressive because they were the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit and finish with three consecutive wins when Warriors had home court advantage. To be fair, I might feel different had Klay not get injured and we went back for game 7 in Canada.

The Raptors literally beat nobody in the East. Everyone they faced was inexperienced.

For the Cavs, they beat the "73-9 greatest team ever!!!" and became the first and only team to come back in the Finals from down 1-3 - against THAT juggernaut.

The Raptors win is just not memorable. In fact, that series will be remembered most for KD's injury.

The cavs came back from a 3-1 deficit and beat a 73 win team. End of discussion, honestly. That's not to take away from the Raptors accomplishments, but that cavs title is historic in every way.

Some people may disagree but I think it does. Mainly on the fact that the 73 Win Warriors choking up a 3-1 sounds more like the Warriors screwed up instead of the Cavaliers going "God Mode". While the Raptors basically took it to the Warriors from the start, and actually made it a Series. I cant remember which Analysts said it during the NBA Finals, but they said that it looked like the Warriors finally met their match, and the Raptors werent the cakewalk most people expected. It wasent a David vs Goliath matchup like the Cavs vs Warriors, it ended up being a Goliath vs Goliath matchup. And to regular folk, thats not as exciting because the scales are not tipped. Well I guess in that sense, the Cavaliers Title was more impressive.

NO! The cavs title series is way more impressive. Probably one of the best. A game 7 thriller that went down the wire, against arguably the best regular season team in history. Who cares if draymond got suspended one game, they still had 2 full games to finish the job. While the Raps road to the finals was more difficult than the Cavs, they faced an injured ridden Warriors, with their best player in KD injured, and Klay having a monster game before the injury. Both championships are very significant especially to the fans and franchises, but the Cavs championship, like one poster have said, was historic.
Plus Kawhi with a bum knee, and Lowry with a broken thumb arguement is just laughable  Everyone playing in the finals have ailments of some sort for sure.

They would have had to beat the Warriors with KD on the team. Seeing the Warriors lose with KD out felt kind of anti-climatic tbh. There was such a bigger thrill when the Cavs beat the Warriors

So both titles are legit and impressive in their own right, but Cleveland is the clear winner for me here. Facing a 73 win team which were up 3-1 in the series is FAR more daunting than anything the Raptors faced. That Warriors team was a historic juggernaut seen as unbeatable.

The Cavs went on an out of their minds stretch in those finals. LBJ and Kyrie were insane and couldn't be stopped. Not to take away from the Raptors because they won when they needed to but the Cavs win this poll if there was one.

Raptors title was more impressive because Kawhi faced actual competition on his way to the finals. Eastern Conference back in 2016 was an absolute joke which Lebron basically sleepwalked to the finals. Lebron also got a lucky break from Draymond getting suspended in game 5 because if that didn't happen Lebron would've got eliminated
