Maybe if the whole league spoke up they could spark some real change in China, I'd like to see them try to ban the NBA entirely.

Throwing your GM publicly under the bus, when you could've just told him privately to delete the tweet, means you suck as an owner.

That's a Dolan move

No, it makes you a very good owner.

But a terrible person.

China is the one in the wrong here, and saying so shouldn't be a political issue.

China got ahold of Morey's tweet almost immediately. Deleting it wouldn't have made a difference. The Houston Rockets are now enemy #1 for the entire country.

Typical bullying from China.

Boycot all Chinese products.

China would do that without batting an eye.

What do you think a bunch of entertainers are going to force a communist dictator to change? Outside of a revolution nothing the public says in the United State will change anything in China, and any support people in China express can get them and their family killed. The NBA will get banned, and nobody in China will blink an eye.

+1

The Chinese government are evil lying cheating stealing murderous scumbags. Screw them. I am interested to see what the NBA does. I hope they don't bow down to them.

I understand that it may be impossible to completely cut them out, but if you're not making an attempt to boycott Chinese products in your own life, then you are complicit in what is happening in Hong Kong. Do not buy Made in China.

Oh my... the Chinese basketball association. How will they ever survive.

The NBA is going to follow Hollywood’s sellout behaviour here.

Maybe they all just need a little Tegrity.

I wonder how much these freedom fighters got paid to wreak havoc on Friday night. Were they recruited from the same New Territories villages as my buddies who have been approached on several occasions to protest? Did triad members show them something that resembles a wine list with the acts they can do and how much they get for those acts? Did their list also mention $200 for marching at a particular demonstrations. The silent majority do not want their rights corroded but they do not condone those acts. My local train station was vandalized and restaurant businesses are facing their biggest crisis since SARS - people are staying at home or have no way of going out. An in-law works at a Chinese restaurant and she fears for her job.
