Will RJ Barrett shoot over 40% from the field this season?

After seeing his shot selection in SL/preseason, I'm suspecting that he shoots in the mid-to-upper 30%-range. He takes too many of the dreaded mid-range contested shots.

Hopefully the Knicks sway him from shooting those shots.

No and he will shoot under 70% from the FT line and have a TS% below 50%.

a player that attacks the rim is probably
going to have a respectable fg% but teams will
make him shoot because his jumps hot isn’t good.

Probably in the 30s to early 40s but he showed some signs of being in the mid 40s possibly, all things considered.

The GB hates a team is really overused, some prominent ones,

Knicks
Celtics
Sixers
Raptors
Lakers
Clipsfan98
Rockets
Warriors

"The GB" can't hate everyone. What generally happens is a natural reaction to the number of users of those teams who feed conversations and/or clickbait stories that each team generates and lead to friction.

He shot 45% at Duke, the pros will shave a few points off of that but he'll probably end up 40-42%. For comparisons sake Melo shot 42% on high volume as a rookie. I think Barrett can keep his raw shooting % at least slightly about 40.

i reckon 43-45%. If he doesn't, I won't take it as an indictment on him, its just hard to space the floor with all the middling shooters they have on this team. He needs to hit the fast break heavily in order to achieve the numbers hes looking for though.

Got any links to preseason threads from last year with people speculating what Knox would shoot for the season?

Looking at the main board the only rookies that exist are Zion and RJ :wink:

Nobody made a thread on whether Knox would shoot over/under 40% last season.
