Zion Williamson Stat Predictions 2019-2020

Post#1 » by Pelly24 » Thu Oct 10, 2019 4:34 pm

The Hawks and the Bulls are bad teams, but right away it's clear that Zion completely outmatches people's athleticism in the league.

He's too fast, too quick, too explosive, too much wiggle, too much agility and he's also too big. It's pretty much as I said when I wrote that he was a 280 pound Michael Jordan as far as athleticism goes.

In his first two games he has scored very easily and I don't think he's shot one jumper. he's a great passer who can surely one day average around 6 assists per game. His ability to finish at the rim is Lebron like as is his open court athleticism.

I'm predicting he gets 21/9 on 57 TS% this year.

What about you?

I honestly think he will avg 25+ppg even as a rookie.

With the league having very few true rim defenders, he is going to live in the paint and shoot a bunch of free throws.

I also predict he will also start the Allstar game and be 3rd team all NBA.

IMO 20 ppg, 10 rpg, 4 apg is realistic.

I think that could be conservative.

I'm trying to contain my enthusiasm because I think hes going to be amazing and if he does even better than that I wouldn't be surprised.

I think he'll have a better rookie season than LeBron.

18/8/2/1/1 on 60/28/65 splits. He'll finish in the 99 percentile around the rim and thrive in transition, but I'm worried about his game from 15 feet beyond. I think he'll be sloppy and turnover prone at times because he doesn't have a very refined faceup game, with that being said he'll dominant more times than often.

I think he’ll get more points than I thought and maybe less rebounds than I thought so something like 23/8. But then maybe he’ll lead the league in steals possibly as well.

He’ll be up for a starting all-star position. It just depends on if he outplays AD for the PF position for the first half of the year. Maybe not so he might be a reserve. We will know more after his first 10 games or so.

He’ll be pushing for record efficiency though. The 12-13 shot lines (like last night) will be the norm for him.

Hard for me to envision Zion scoring into the 20's...Jrue is the de facto #1 option and Ingram wont disappoint with his incredible tunnel vision and ball hogging ability. Pelicans would really have to make a concerted effort to get him the ball.

I think Zion potential will be amazing. However I do not think his body will be able to handle the grind of an 82 game NBA season. I do not wish injury on anyone, but unless he drops the weight, he will suffer an injury. I have sports doctors that I see on a regular basics, that tell me the samething.

Pretty obvious there is a huge effort to get him the ball from the coaching staff and other players, which is something I was worried about.

One thing I liked that is a new wrinkle is how quickly he will body up and post up a small on switches and attack with a quick layup in the paint before defenses can react.

New Orleans has a lot of good passers so it shouldn't be a surprise that they look for him and find him. They may lack shooters but they don't lack passing. Plus teammates don't mind passing the ball to somebody who is equally unselfish, plays hard and takes really good shots.

18 & 8 with decent efficiency but more-than-average turnovers and fouls.

This is very reasonable and would be a sensational rookie season imo.

Zion is on a way better team than most #1 picks are, with a tremendous amount of depth and some players that can really play basketball on it. While they are also excellent passers, it may limit his scoring chances in some games.

20 points a game is a really tall order for any rookie "big".

20/7/3 with a 60 TS% but negative defensive metrics.
