If buddy Hield is looking for a near max contract I'd wonder what kind of team would be willing to trade much for him. Bit of a catch 22.

I dont' know what catch 22 means.

Give him the max. How many guys in the league average 20 ppg, hitting nearly 43% from 3 on 8 attempts.

As a shooter, he’s in elite company.

This should be an automatic huge fine from the NBA. It's another form of tampering.

Demanding a trade generally isn't tampering. I don't think there's any rule against using that as leverage.

Key word: Should. I am hoping the owners are willing to have a lockout for tougher protections against this kind of behavior. It's wrong. If you sign a contract you honor it. You don't undermine it or threaten or force a trade because you 'want more money now or too bad' - that's why he'll get to be a free agent who can choose wherever he likes. But not before.

At least Kawhi didn't do us dirty like this...

I mean... I don't think he lied about the injury for the record. But yeah it sucked a lot more for you guys, regardless.

Knicks need a SG sharp shooter ASAP. And they have cap space.

If China doesn't totally destroy the NBA economy.

4 years 130 sounds right.

Zero doubt he gets it. Not shocked Sac is doing this.

Murray last year:
18/4/5 on 54 TS%, 0.1 BPM and 1.3 VORP

Buddy last year:
20/5/2 on 58 TS%, 1.1 BPM and 2.1 VORP

Hield was taken 1 pick before Murray and you know him and his agent knows the stats from last year. I have a hard time seeing him accepting anything short of the max. And sorry he just isn't a max player. If he has made it known to Vlade that he only wants the max, Im moving him if Im Divac.

Murray is 22, Hield is like 29

buddy's 26 man thats mean lol

100/4 at much for a non playoff team for 13 (14 incoming) years.

But in some ways, front offices can relax because it makes their decisions on extensions much easier and clearer: Get a very good discount now or wait until next year. No front office should be extending any restricted player at the max right now.

I really like Buddy and hope we do re-sign him, but probably isn't the smartest thing for him to do. We can easily re-sign Bogdan to a much cheaper deal to replace him. Bogdan is probably a notch below Hield, but if you consider his all-around game, he's just as good or better. If conversations begin to get bad, I wouldn't be entirely against trading him if the right deal comes along. Giving him Jamal Murray money is a but too much considering age and potential. Hield is pretty one dimensional and I don't think he has the ability to really improve upon that.

Buddy’s dreaming. Kings can’t afford to pay him big $$. They’re already paying the dream quartet of Harrison Barnes, Dwayne Dedmon, Cory Joseph, and fully washed Trevor Ariza.

Like Matt Barnes said about PJ Tucker. Only superstars can make those kinda requests/statements but that's what the owner gets for publicly calling him Steph Curry
