LeBron is easily the best player in the NBA. There is no other player that can do all of the things LeBron does at his level. He's the most intelligent player in the league, the best passer In the league, an elite scorer, a great rebounder and a top 3 player at two other positions outside of his own (PG, PF).

The only thing Giannis does better than LeBron is rebound. The only thing Kawhi does better than LeBron is defend. And neither Giannis or Kawhi can score or pass like LeBron and there is nobody else in the conversation.

Last time I checked a mid lottery team with the “best player” of the league with the same roster ( only better). Lol. Winning it’s the only stat.

LeBron has won more than Giannis and Kawhi too.

Last year? Yes he almost won the lottery. Weeellll done

Man, this post makes me realize how little I care about other sports. I don't know who any of those dudes are besides LeBron.

Sure, even last season. At the time of LeBron’s injury he had won 20 games while Kawhi had only won 18 games, for example.

Giannis came away from the season with an MVP but LeBron came away with Anthony Davis, so he won there too.

Now Giannis and Kawhi have to go through LeBron to get a ring and it will be an impossible task for them.

Vettel has not declined one inch.

He has always been just a Hoax.

When he had a car FAR BETTER than any other car, he won ( with his team helping him by screwing his teamates).

Now he does not have the fastest car and he does not win.

( if Hamilton or Alonso were driving current Ferrari they woudl actually be able to win the championship with it, because you know BOTh of them are FAR FAR better drivers than the Deustche Wunderhoax).

Watt, GGG, and Vettel don't belong at the level of Ronaldo, Federer, and LaBron. The latter three are at the very least among the five greatest players in their sports history.

MIght as well ask how much Ferrari has declined compared to Mercedes if you want to include Vettel. Don´t think racing can be compared to any other sport as long as the drivers aren´t using the same car.
Looking at the given options my pick is JJ Watt. Pre injury he had a case for most dominant pass rusher ever. Now he is still really good but not even among the best 3 at his position and probably not even among the top 20 in the league.

Peaked with the Heat around 12/13
Lost some but not that much during his second stint with the Cavs as he got older but was still the clear cut best player and smarter than ever,

Last year was the first time I thought the decline was clearly noticeable

Lebron has clearly declined. Whoever said it was barely noticeable didnt watch lebron at his peak. Dude is slower now with less hops. Also doesnt impact the game nearly as much as he used to.

Not that stamina was his strong point even at his peak but he cant go all out both ends of the court for more than 3 minutes without gasping for air. If it wasnt for his size and the modern game, he'd be pinning for the fjords already

Fed's #3 in the world, and the two top guys are the same top guys that have been mostly ahead of him for a decade. They are the other two Michael Jordan/Lebron's of their sport and who are slightly younger. Clearly the 3 greatest ever. He's had almost no measurable decline.

Lebron's peak Player Eff Rating was 31.7. Last year it was 25.6. The year before if you want to blame last year on injuries was 28.6. It's obvious there is some decline as from his peak ages of 24 to 28 he was over 30.PER all but his first year in Miami when they were working out the kinks. He's not that guy anymore.

And his defense has become absolutely horrid. He basically just stands in the post to conserve energy and to provide rim protection and/or grab rebounds.

He needs to get a "push" before he bothers going out to the perimeter and defend the 3PT line. Interesting to see how Davis handles all this does he really want to be the guy to carry Lebron for the next 3-4 years?
