Talking primarily about the letter thing, is mocking someone and insinuating someone is stupid (regardless of content of post), and is not only a personal attack, but is baiting.

So please watch this and report such posts, and they will be addressed.

Please note this....and we will update you on future things that may be addressed, such as using words like "Bronsexual" or anything similar-- quite offensive and, frankly, childish, just like the above learning thing.

Most of you are adults, so please act like it. Would you use these terms in emails to people at work you disagree with? I imagine not.

Let's please have respectful, intelligent and mature discussion here to make this a better place.

I get it and Im not against getting rid of trolling or derailing posts but I disagree about work email example. This aint a work place this a basketball message board I agree that it shouldn't be dumbed down by trolling but workplace etiquette shouldn't be what's expected either.

We don't want users insulting or attacking each other; it really is just that simple. There are plenty of places online where people can go to treat others poorly; RealGM doesn't want to be one of them.

We're certainly not unreasonable for insisting that users treat each other respectfully.

It does indicate who is childish, but I'd prefer to have a forum with more intelligent and value added posts.

That's a good point...that was more of a "treat people in a way of respect even if you disagree" point rather than just type how you would something at work. Of course this is an outlet for different types of discussion.

I think it's unnecessary to ban it, it's a meme that's fallen back in favor for a little bit, it'll die and go away like every other meme. I don't see it as offensive either. People don't have a right to not be offended, especially if writing in alternating capital letters is causing them to be offended, that's just childish. Move past it.

I'm not talking about meme's...but childish posters us that lettering in posts often, and it's just a basic personal attack about someone's intelligence, just like most personal attacks. Now a particularly meme with that in it is basically the same thing, so it would be treated similarly.
