This is why we were begging him to play. About time Fizdale is giving him major minutes. Frank’s looked extremely aggressive, his defense is other worldly. If he can keep it up, he’ll be our starting PG for good.

His defense was always solid. He just needs to become consistent w his 3 bc he's not a PG. He reminds me of avery bradley or a less athletic Eric Bledsoe

He is a good player, but he is not a stats guy, so there is no hype. He was great in the fiba world cup, especially against USA. Showed a lot of progress.

what he does on the defense is sustainable and is his calling card. he’s a pest defensively.

I always liked Frankie Smokes. He's gonna be good.

Way better option than DSJ. But him and RJ are the Knicks future.

Wish they would have tried to get shooters instead of signing 4 PFs though.

Okay. He plays hard, hustles and is good/great on defense.

A great role player, bench depth to have. Every teams should have a player like that.

But come on, arrived? He hasn’t even fully won his own coach over.

In the 2017 draft I referred to him as the YOLO pick (and wanted to take him). He was a guy who if he didn't develop and change his mindset would be virtually unplayable but if he reaches his ceiling is the exact kind of guy you need on championship squads. He's got the length and defensive instincts to disrupt the best of the best lead guards and knows how to defer his stats to the offense. Just needs that shot to go in and consistently feel when he needs to take it himself. Be a passable threat on that end to shoot or drive.


He doesn't hesitate to shoot or make a move when he's open now. Which is a funny thing to say about a professional basketball player but it's a pretty major difference from years past.
