Atlanta Hawks hold his rights from 2015 draft and he is 25 years old at the moment.

That's completely insane. He's one of the most lethal shooters in the world. He hit 45 % of his threes last year in the ACB.
Here he is making 78 out of 81 threes when he was 18 years old in street clothes.

Carroll, Grigonis, and Dairis are better tho. Eriksson is very expendable player, Matt Thomas from Toronto is a good comp.
This shows how good PROs are at basketball really, this guy isnt even anything special in top Euro level, but in casual setting, hes a machine.

Re: Marcus Eriksson Makes 254 Three Pointers Out of 259 Attempts In a Practice
I've long wondered why ATL haven't brought him over to the big league club during their rebuild...or just included him in trade for a future asset by now.
Perhaps the guy just isn't interested in playing here at this point...

He signed a 4 year deal with Alba Berlin this year. Not sure if he has a NBA buyout.

It is exhausting taking that many shots. It's impressive to make that many shots and have to continuously adjust for fatigue.

Impressive, but let's say how it translates.
I remember a few years ago Nik Stauskas posted videos of him making like 95 out of a 100s pretty easily while practicing, but he had a disappointing career.

Exactly this. A buddy of mine in high school was one of the most ridiculous mind blowing shooters I've ever seen. He tried out for the Trinidad national team and couldn't make it. He used to practice from the halfcourt line at our HS gym and drain one after another with perfect form. The 3pt line was a layup for him. I remember we'd be running down the floor getting ready to start a possession and next thing we knew the ball would be sailing over our heads from halfcourt. Swish. And yet no one has ever heard of him

It's like with great dunkers, eventually you have to actually be good at basketball. One skill can take you far but not to the NBA. Even guys in the NBA known as specialists have a deeper understanding of the game or have more to offer, but sacrifice for the team. It's actually common for NBA players to shoot 90% from 3 in practice. The great ones shoot even better than that.

Yep. To your point about how good pro's truly are: my co-worker's son used to work out regularly with Cory Joseph when he played for UT in college, and he said CoJo would never miss in an open gym. And CoJo came into the league as a poor 3-pt shooter back then.

This. I put little weight on practice shots in the gym with no one defending you. Game situations are totally different.

I don't find these things impressive anymore. I had a math teacher who could hit 98 out of 100 free throws, he wouldn't even be able to play pickup ball against high school kids. Just means that he has good muscle memory and technique to excel in that very specific situation. Being able to shoot in a game adds a thousand more variables, especially in an NBA game lol. Stauskus became an NBA journeyman, is he even in the league anymore? Not saying that Eriksson cannot play in the NBA but these feats in practice doesn't mean much to me.
