Hmm they just beat Boston, i would guess they are quite happy about that. They also gave him big money and will rely on him in the future.

The real question is, what the hell is his real potential? That's on their coach i guess to figure out. I think he would be best playing as PF, have a similar role like Garnett had.

As bad as he is sometimes, i don't think Philly will want to trade him just yet. He's also still very young. But the way that they are using him is mostly on coach.

If Wall comes back and shows he is healthy, I'd love to take a shot with Simmons and Beal...
So Wall + assets for Simmons and filler (Scott, Zhaire, etc.)...
Rui, Wagner, 1st (#6-8) seems like a good return...

Wall
Richardson
Harris
Horford
Embiid

Bench: Rui, Thybulle, Wagner

Simmons
Beal
Brown Jr.
Bertans
Bryant

Again... All predicated on Wall returning at the end of the year for 15+ games and looking good.
Not sure what other team could give all 3 levels of assets (Current good player (Wall), young high ceiling prospect (Rui), and top 8 pick)

Dude, Wall had an achilles tear...If the Wiz are lucky he is 75% the player he was. No one is trading for him

Wes, Barea....they both lost more than one step

I’m sure the Thunder would take him for CP3. They can throw in sone other bodies to even up salary. The Sixers would be instant title favorites with that trade.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; DeAngelo Russell would be a great fit with Embiid, while Simmons with the Splash Bros would be great.

This off-season, Simmon's new max extension kicks in, and they'll make about the same per year.

Don't think anybody is buying Wall health with a 15 game sample size. Especially for his injury.

The Sixers would be the clear cut favorite if he were a consistent 20-22ppg scorer, last night he was a ghost on offense.

I like Phoenix as suitors, something around Rubio + Oubre + '20 FRP (top 5 protected)

Pelicans should make a play with multiple picks, Lonzo or Holiday, NAW, and whatever else besides Zion and Ingram

Hayes
Zion
Ingram
Hart
Simmons

1) Simmons isnt going to be traded. He just signed a 5 year deal with no opt outs and he has zero leverage to even force his way out [which hes given no indication of even coming close to wanting]. He’ll remain Embiid injury insurance, where he could likely evolve into a superstar if Embiid goes down.

2) Philly is going to keep playing him as Draymond Green 2.0 because thats whats most conducive to them winning with this current roster. Level set your expectations so you dont irrationally get upset that he isnt scoring 20 PPG.

3) The best theoretical fit for Simmons is on a team with bigs that space the floor and allow wings to create. Coaches who run systems like that would best amplify his stats.

Simmons needs a team around him similar to Milwaukee with a 5 out offense, but with more players capable of creating their own shot.

Phoenix would be ideal with the shooting of Baynes and Kaminsky but Booker is playing too well and it's probably too late for that, even with a bunch of picks coming the Suns' way. (Forgot about Ayton, they need to get rid of him...)

GSW would be a good fit, (even though they don't have a stretch 5, with their motion offense) but D'Lo is not enough, GSW would have to add more value. Maybe a trade centered around D'Lo and Draymond and the Sixers could add a decent filler or two?

Simmons and Embiid can work. I dont think this is the right roster to bring the best out of both. They are still a really good team and Simmons should not get traded especially when trading hin could really backfire.

If you're an NBA coach or GM and you turn around and say I can't build a team because 1 guy can't shoot and we gotta sell, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna have a job for very long. And to their credit the Sixers didn't, and they got really close to beating the champions last year.

To me their problem is they didn't manage to keep Jimmy. Simmons is far from perfect but he still brings a lot to the table.

Let's say you go the Giannis route and are willing to trade for Ben Simmons and build a team around him, is that really a good idea?

Simmons just doesn't have "it". People always like to exagerrate when it comes to intangibles, but Giannis defintetly has that passion/drive to compete that Simmons just doesn't seem to have. Giannis has been consistently improving himself every season, whereas Ben Simmons looks like that same player he was as in his "rookie" season. Simply stagnating.

Look at Giannis' 3PA, pretty much every season this has increased, despite him being a bad shooter. He still is quite bad, but has improved considerably. He's shooting now on 5 3's a game on .319 shooting. He was shooting 0.5 a game on .159 shooting in his sopohmore season. Can you imagine Ben "too scared to shoot 3s cause it will make me look bad" Simmons do this? He is shooting .400 on 3's, but is only taking 0.2 3's a game in his 4th(!!) year as a player. I don't even know if it is really him or the lack of proper coaching pushing him to improve. He's wasting his talent.

Why limit oneself to an at best 5- 15% chance to win a title for the next 4 years.

If they can get a decent return for a much better fitting player, why not? It should at least be explored, doesn't mean they are trading him.

Sixers are 19-7 and have won 12 of their last 14. They and just handed Boston their first home loss of the year, something that Toronto, Milwaukee, Dallas, Miami and Denver all failed to do. Yet here we are talking about Ben Simmons and Embiid not being able to play with each other? Really?

Have you lost your **** mind? I wouldn't trade Simmons for a healthy Wall making 10M less a year. :nonono:
