Harden is the best player in the league this year. All-time offense and good defense.

Lebron James. Year 17, aged 35 doing some amazing things. Playing a new position with a brand new roster. The man is on a mission after everyone wrote him out.

Giannis is the best player in the league who does it all for the bucks and leading them to a league best 30-5 record.

Harden is

1st in Win Shares,
1st in Value Over Replacement Player,
1st in PIPM Wins Added, and
1st in RAPTOR Wins Above Replacement
2nd in RPM Wins (behind James).

Those are the five main advanced stats, besides the per-minute PER, in which Harden is 2nd (behind Antetokounmpo). Antetokounmpo has less than a 5% lead in PER, and Harden has played more than 25% more minutes than Antetokounmpo.

Harden also leads the top three candidates with a +12.7 On-Off per100. Antetokounmpo is +7.4 and James is +10.4.

Harden is also 1st in my MVP formula, with 13.9 to Antetokounmpo's 13.2. James is 3rd at 11.2.

Still Giannis. It only gets interesting of Milwaukee doesn't finish with the best record in the league.

I'm going Luca then close second Giannis.
I just prefer the lottery to legit playoff team narrative for the Mavericks lead by the out of this world performances of Luca, a sophomore.

Forget it if Mavs fall out of Top 4 though.

More like those are your random picks. Why WS? Why not BPM? Why punish Giannis for playing less minutes because his team is blowing out the opponent?

Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

Anyone know what Giannis weighs these days? He's jacked.

Because he is completely unbiased... aside from being a Rockets fan that is nuthugging Harden.

You're probably going to need to revise your formula after this season if (when) Giannis wins MVP again.

Also, Harden is first in winshares while Giannis is first in Win Shares per 48. In other words per minute on the court Giannis is more valuable. In other words again scrabbarista is trying to ovwr value total minutes played to fit his narative.
