The Bucks have a +4.1 Net rating with Giannis sitting. With him playing, they have a Net Rating of +16.1 points per 100 poss. He leads the league in Net Rating, Def. Rating and almost every advanced statStats

Most of his stats are close except for the assist per game...

Yes but do you give a 5th mvp to someone like that though?

For someone who has 25-26 PPG with 10 assist and 7 rebounds and that his team have almost the best record in the NBA?....Giannis is still my pick, but LeBron is a contender for this awards.

Interesting stats...

There is a stat for that. It’s called Assists Points Created. So you don’t have to guess. We have precise numbers.

LeBron: 25.7 + 26.5
Giannis: 29.6 + 15.4

LeBron generates 52.2 points of offense each game.
Giannis generates 45.0 points of offense each game.

LeBron accounts for 7.2 more ppg than Giannis.

James Harden is at 53.1. (34.3 + 18.8)

We'll see what my formula says on Friday, but I think I'll still have Antetokounmpo leading by a wiiiide margin. This LeBron James stuff is pretty silly still, in my opinion.

The question should still be whether James can get to a place where he deserves the award - not whether he deserves it right now.

As for my formula, the question for Friday is going to be whether James moves past Harden into second - not whether he's close to first.

Harden has been too inconsistent this year.He had many hot shooting night but he also had too many cold night.LeBron has been way more consistent this year and the Lakers have 10 more wins that the Rockets!

Both players are deserving of the award, and they are both dominating the league in their own ways. Still, to me what LBJ is doing is much more impressive, and maybe the people with actual votes might feel the same way.

This is how I feel too.

So is it Dinwiddie now, is that how this works?

LOL the ESPN Homepage shows a huge pic of AD with the Title saying "AD with Clutch 3 to tie game.. but Nets Win"

So since ESPN was handing Lebron the MVP after 2 wins, let's see if they now take it away tomorrow. Logically that is how it should work

Dinwiddie has 2 things going for him. Late season win against a MVP contender and probably one of the leaders when it comes to the leaderboard of player with the worst teammates. That was a big talking point not too long ago haha.

But the real question is, what is Dinwiddie's points created per minute with pace factored in, while he was a starter and on a Thursday night. That is the real deal breaker in my opinion.

I'm a huge Lebron fan but there is no way Giannis doesn't win unless he misses every game for the remainder of the season AND Lakers take the best overall record in the lead.

Dinwiddie plays with a worse supporting cast too, i mean it's all aligned, only thing missing is Joe Harris didn't put an invisible crown on his head after the game

I know Caris LaVert is the best superstar Dinwiddie ever teamed up with but come on look at the rest of the roster. Also they are playing under a new interim coach. Dinwiddie is apparently doing more with less.

Every loss for the Lakers is a nail in the coffin for LeBron's MVP hopes. The Lakers have to have a better record than the Bucks for LeBron to even have a shot at this.

Even more the nail in the coffin is the fact that Lebron is so afraid of going to the FT line. So obvious last night. Down 2-3 and he rejects layups with and one and just kicks it out to other chokers. Pathetic

Media will be sure to forgot about last night after next game Lakers have.

You have to know your personnel better. At the best Davis is bellow average shooter from 3 point line and on many situations just bad.
