I want the Lakers to win it all this year.

In the last 40 years, we’ve seen maybe the top 3 players of all time. I don’t want this to be a comparison thread. Jordan, Kobe, and LeBron are the best of their generations.

With that being said, the fact LeBron is in LA this year is special with the tragic death of Kobe. Kobe Bryant is The King in LA, and this would be such a great story if LeBron and the rest of the Lakers can pull this off and win it for Kobe.
At least for the rest of the year, I’m pulling for you LA. I know many others feel the same way. Win this ****ing thing for Mamba man.

Biggest season of LeBron’s career now in my opinion. We’re all purple and gold this year.

I can't possibly root for them as a fan of the "little brother" trying to earn it's first ring. I will be less hostile towards the Lakers and if they DO win it all, there is a part of me that would be happy they did it for Kobe. Overall though, please no... I don't wanna waste our title window.

LeBron was the best player of Kobe's generation. Even in Kobe's best season - 2006 - LeBron was still better than him.

If the Lakers get past the Clips I’m absolutely rooting for the Lakers. Growing up in the South Bay 15 minutes from Staples...Kobe has actually been a huge part of my passion for basketball, and I always thought I’d get to talk about him till the end of time basically. He was my favorite back then growing up...Los Angeles will bleed Kobe forever, his DNA is in the city.

I won't be rooting for them but as a fan of basketball in general I won't be mad if they win it....whichever team wins the championship this season will have a good story.

Kawhi and Giannis are also big Kobe guys so if they win the championship they could also say they did it for Kobe, it doesn't have to be the Lakers.

LeBron was the best player of Kobe's generation. Even in Kobe's best season - 2006 - LeBron was still better than him.

As a lebron fan, I tell you that 2006 was flawed in MAJOR ways. Kobe was still way ahead of him.

That said, I'd like lebron and the Lakers to use it as extra motivation.

Someone here said it would be lebron's biggest year, but I still think 2016 was more significant as a career achievement. Winning it for LA and Kobe this year would be the ultimate icing on the cake though. No doubt.

Please don’t do this. Kobe would absolutely HATE it if everyone let the Lakers win because of pity. Keep playing to win as everyone should.
