The whole situation is pretty eerie. The way LeBron talked about Kobe on Saturday night was like he was speaking in eulogy. It's the kind of thing you never even imagine happening, and then it does and it doesn't feel like real life.

When he passed Jordan he made similar remarks. The ones about Kobe seem more emotional, but that's probably the power of suggestion.

Creepy, but helicopters are always synonymous with action type of videos. Kobe was in all kinds of commercials, shows and movies so some of them are bound to look creepy in hindsight.

Also, regarding that tweet that predicted how he'd die... Kobe's always been known to ride helicopters. Helicopters are dangerous. It's easy to make that prediction and at the time just throw it out there as a casual thought. It's like if you knew someone ate donuts every day, you could casually tweet "_____ is going to die from diabetes someday." That helicopter tweet would have been creepy if the person knew what year or exact date the helicopter accident would happen. Otherwise it's more of a thought like, "Geez, Kobe loves to ride helicopters to beat LA traffic, one of these days he might get in an accident."

Basically. People say all kinds of stuff. Occasionally, some of it is even right. The commercial is particularly chilling in light of what happened.

Kobe himself probably considered the risk many times. Supposedly he and Vanessa had a deal never to fly together to make sure one survived if anything were to happen.

Helicopters and helicopters crashing are a common motif in stories, especially ones that include villains.

Pretty immature and insensitive to imply this could be a planned crash at this time.

Especially if you don't have any actual evidence of that.

True, but whats up with the goodbye in Italian, "the blackmamba doesn't end heroes come and go but legends are forever" reminds me of what tmac said about kobe wanting to be immortalized, subtle showing of the burning carnage of helicopter on the ground instead of just blowing up in the sky, and the sinister laugh at the end?
