If he was shooting 36% from 3 I'd agree with you. But he's shooting 44% on 6 attempts a game. Thats elite level stuff being added to a top 3 team in the league.

Who is to say he is going to continue shooting .70ish% better from 3 than his career average for the rest of this season? Just last season he was only shooting .375% from 3.

Yea,for sure he might not maintain it, I silent even necessarily except him to, but him shooting "just" 37.5% at his volume is far, far superior to what the Clippers were getting from Harkless and will help the offense and spacing a good amount.

I was willing to let all the hoopla about the Clippers go (from the same crowd that said the Lakers would suck this year and that Brawn was washed), but the Utah and Denver things are plain no's. They ain't gonna struggle against anyone BUT the Clippers and/or Bucks. At worst, the Lakers are the 3rd best team in the league. Maybe they're better than that which probably won't be accepted as a maybe by a plurality of fans until they DO manage to beat LAC/MIL, but at worst they're 3rd best. Denver is superior to Utah, however. That much is true. Lakers would take Utah out in 5 games.

Lol. Lakers still favorites. I hope they or the Clippers are able to beat the Bucks to see if Giannis breaks loose in 2021!

He is going to be great on the Clippers with more spacing and less responsibilities.

Cuz your team is crap.

Yeah no **** which is why it’s impressive how efficient Morris has been even with teams knowing he’s our only competent offensive player.

Half of his 3pt shots are contest and he’s still making them. He’s getting double teamed and he’s still converting. Imagine what he’ll be like next to PG and Kawhi lol

Clipz sacrificed defence for little bit offence they already had. I don’t think anyone is beating Lakers come playoffs. A motivated Lebron plus AD plus the size they have up front and the veteran role players is more then enough to win the title.

Playoff matchups will be interesting.

I actually think the Clippers biggest matchup challenge would be the Nuggets. Not sure how Clippers even attempt to machup with the Denver size of Jokic/Millsap/Plumlee/Grant/Porter. In the two games this year the Nuggets out scored the clippers in the paint by +34 and out rebounded them by +18.

The Lakers on the contrary easily have the size to compete when Denver goes big.

:noway: I don't know when Morris became so overrated, have people watched him play? The guy is a ball hogging chucker who never passes, he also has a ton of brain farts on defense. He didn't help Boston's win column, it's no surprise that Tatum and Brown are putting up 20 a night now that he's gone.

Lakers will beat the Clippers because the Lakers have the best player in Basketball on their team and the Clippers don't.

I haven't watched him much this year, but is he really that much of a difference maker? He's bounced around a lot and hasn't exactly been known as a positive locker room presence.

Morris has been a very efficient three point shooter but he hurts you in so many other areas. There's a reason why he's had a negative box +- every season. His issues aren't glaring on a lottery team, totally different when he forgets to cover his man on a corner three in a playoff game with the score tied.

Idk about no chance. Morris is good but this isn't KD we're taking about or something.

Dang didnt realize 44% on 6 attempts a game from 3 was chucker status. Jordan Crawford wishes he was that efficient.

Once again he is shooting nowhere near that for his career and it is likely an aberration but keep dreaming.

Aberrations last a few games, maybe a few weeks. Not half the season. Fact of the matter is, the Clippers got better from this trade no matter how you put it. Harkless is a solid player but there were times he didn't do anything on offense at all, especially when Kawhi didn't play. They lose his defensive versatility but Morris is better overall.

He's not going to tip the scales but this trade made a 36-15 team better.

He has flaws, no doubt, but...

1) He can shoot. Can't be leaving him open.
2) He can defend. Not a stopper, but could spend minutes on LeBron or even Davis. It won't go great, but it doesn't need to. Just needs to challenge them and work.
3) The ring is likely to focus him short term.

The negatives are there...he can be a ball stopper. There isn't a clear time in LAC when having him initiate offence is Plan A (since they have Lou and Harrell after their 2 big dogs).

But this is a strong move. He's not afraid of the moment, either.

He might be a good fit with the Clippers if he can just focus on the idea of a ring.

He wasn't a good fit for the Knicks at all, they need to develop youth.

And last years Celtics had a weird mix of youth development/vets but Mook really did take a lot of shots away from Hayward/Tatum/Brown. With Gordon I sort of got it since he was recovering from the injury but I felt it really hurt Tatum/Brown at times.

Ironically from time to time I felt Mook was one of the few Kyrie trusted when he hated to give the ball up in the clutch but he once said he respected Mooks "veteran intensity".

So Marcus Morris is the deciding factor?

Seems reasonable.
