Who was more of an ATHLETIC FREAK? Orlando Magic Shaq or Zion

I didn't get to see much of Orlando Shaq as I was bit young for that time but always heard that Shaq during that time was ATHLETIC FREAK of FREAKS and watching his Orlando Highlights, WOW people weren't lying. So big, STRONG, agile, very quick on his feet for such a big man. Shaq was def a freak of nature.
Now we all know the freakish athleticism Zion has. So now the question is, which athlete is more freakish?! When you see this athlete, you tell yourself "WOW, a human shouldn't be able to move like this!

"

He's also bent rims and shattered the glass.

Young Shaq was 7'1, lean, fast, quick, powerful and could jump out of the gym. There's no comparison. Let's put it this way, if Shaq and LeBron were being drafted in the same year, Shaq probably goes first overall.

To me, part of athleticism is whether your body can be durable enough to handle the explosion and torque. Orlando Shaq barely missed any games his first 3 seasons, and only missed 22 games his fourth year because of a freak finger injury. Zion's already been out half the season from a knee injury and there's a more than unlikely chance he'll suffer more lower body injuries in the future.

Zion is a better athlete, Shaq was more of a freak due to his size.

Shaq, and it's not even close. Shaq was bigger, stronger, and a MUCH better athlete than Zion will ever be. People who vote for Zion are the ones who never got to witness Shaq.

I think Lebron would have been drafted ahead of Shaq. Shaq was hyped but not to Lebrons degree where his High School games were regularly on ESPN Primetime.
That being said, the answer to this Topic is Shaq

Shaq was a 7 foot Zion, but lighter on his feet, with better footwork, basketball fundamentals and IQ (although 3 years of college would have helped).

I would also argue if Shaq had LeBrons work ethic, he would be the unquestioned GOAT

Zion is the better athlete and proportionally much bigger than shaq was a rookie (they weighed about the same as rookies despite Zion being 7 inches shorter).
However Zion is less durable and he aint 7'1 so theres that.

All i gotta say is...
Imagine if Shaq actually had a work ethic and had a Lebron like training AND nutrition regimen throughout his career....

A few weeks ago my brother was claiming Shaq was clumsy and just a big guy. People have zero clue about Shaq man, you can't compare Zion who is more of a Barkley level athlete.

I'm one of the rare Zion votes. I understand what Shaq was and I have zero issues with people voting for him. However Zion plays so incredibly high above the rim and move so insanely quick laterally at pretty much the same weight while being 7 or 8 inches shorter. That's crazy to me.

zion is not in the same league when it comes to being an athletic freak.
