Isn’t there bad blood between KG and the owner of the Wolves? This is the right move by Boston, KG helped them win a ring and embraced Boston as soon as he got there. Glad the Celts are doing this.

Yup, flat out embarrassing. Its not like the Celtics didnt give them time to do it either. Wolves ownership is a joke.

What I've posted on our forum:
Only Celtic who deserves his number retired after playing only for a brief period.
Well deserved, without question. He changed the culture of the Celtics. No KG, no Championship, and our leader's (Pierce) career would have ended up differently.
KG may have only wore the Celtic uniform for 6 years, but he is a Celtic through and through.

WTF is wrong with the Timberwolves, retire his jersey already. Are they holding some kind of grudge or something? KG was PHENOMENAL for the Timberwolves. If you put aside his rookie season which he was making the transition from high school to the NBA, he averaged 39.2mpg 21.5ppg 11.9rpg 4.7apg 1.4spg 1.7bpg .491FG% and .782FT%. What more can you ask from KG? He wasted his first 12 seasons in an inept organization, KG could of had multiple championships if drafted by almost any other franchise.

You see folks and this is why fans shouldn't complain when players want to leave garbage orginizations. Even when you put all your effort in the franchise, they still don't care about you!

Its even more of a no brainer than Gasol. KG was the Celtics best player for most of those years. He sacrificed the most in terms of raw numbers but had by far the most impact.

Everyone needs to understand this is because of Taylor, The state of Minnesota loves KG and wishes he was around and Taylor wasnt.. And yes very embarrassing not to have his jersey up already.. if Flip wouldn't have died KG would have been involved with team as its common knowledge there were promises made when KG returned and were broken when Flip died

Good for KG. So embarrassing for Taylor. While Taylor has been (a little) better about being aggressive (albeit he invested in Wiggins...) and trying to build a contender, he’s getting up there with Dolan for worst ownership group. Sad because the wolves do have some good pieces.
