I tried consulting Google, but roughly how long is the NBA dunk contest from start to finish? An hour or so?

About that long. With intro vids and an absurd amount of commercials, it usually jumps over the hour mark.

Hard to remember exactly, and it all depends how long they are going to yap before it starts and how many commercials they stick in there.

But I'd say about 45 minutes. The event Saturday night is scheduled at 2.5 hours on TNT but it includes long intros, the Skills Contest, the 3pt Contest and the Dunk Contest. The actual dunking doesn't take long at all. When they show Dunk Contest replays on NBA TV they fit them into a 30 minute slot.

I wish they put out what time each individual event starts but I feel like then everybody would just wait till the dunk contest. That’s all I care about

You should be able to see if you have a cable service. It gives an approximate time.

I actually much prefer the Skills and 3 Point Shootout over that circus.
