This thread is good just too skim the news and see some highlights. But wow the discussion on there is horrible it seems to be 80% Warrior fans as well.

Could be worse. I mean, imagine a forum with horrible discussion and 80% Raptors fans.

Oh wait.

Its full of people having extremely hot takes based off one game without research on why it may be happening.

Too many memes and not enough actual discussion there. Don't get me wrong that can happen here too at times, but there's way more insight on realgm.

Me too. They are one of the most grounded fan bases. Before the championship they would happily make fun of their own team in a gentle but snarky way that I thought was hilarious.

The fan base is one of the best around . Really good people up north (of course every base has their morons) but those fans collectively are really cool

That's a terrible way to generalize thousands of users.

I've seen excellent discussions, insights, interesting facts, and statistical summaries. Not to mention their AMA's where actual scouts/coaches/players answer questions.

There is an extra nba discussion subreddit for serious discussion but it isn't that active. Seems like people prefer memes, shitposts and highlights

It's great for highlights and tweets, but reading the comments is nauseating, both in terms of how the platform looks and works and what the people are posting.

It's not generalizing when its the vast majority. Sure there are some excellent discussion once every 3 weeks, but most of the time it's people overreacting after every team loss, calling a guy trash based off of one highlight, etc. It's becoming a Twitter comment thread.

This forum sucks too. 90% of posts are people repeating narratives and trash instead of talking about actual basketball

Sent from my SM-A520W using RealGM mobile app

I used r/nba for a good while before coming here and now when I have checked back there it is incredible how little anything of value is discussed there. Realgm is not some haven of intelligent discussion but r/nba is almost unusable for me now going back to it, there's just no substance to anything people say.

IMO r/NBA and RealGM are more similar than some folks would like to admit.
