Pretty cool when they were talking about how they (the coaches, GM, etc) didn't realize how good Jordan was when they drafted him.

Then at the first Bulls' practice they realized he was really good.

Then within two weeks the whole team realized he was the best player on the team...

This release of this documentary is aligning perfectly for me. I started reading "The Jordan Rules" a few days ago and that book paints Krause in the same light. It's interesting. I'd like to have more insight on Krause and get more information from his perspective.

Playing For Keeps by David Halberstam and Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby are the definitive Jordan / Bulls books. Especially the former. Smith is a great reporter and Jordan Rules is filled with pulpy, behind-the-scenes details. But Halberstam is arguably the best American reporter of the 20th century. His ability to observe details and weave them into historical assessments is second to none. And Lazenby's book is just exhaustively researched, down to distant branches of Jordan's family tree. Those are must-reads for anybody looking to learn about Michael Jordan.

Is it coming on Netflix? Pretty sure it will be available on espn.com eventually.

yeah too bad it'll be available at a later time. We don't have ESPN here and i don't want to watch this in an illegal site because of the quality so we just have to wait i guess :D

Thank you. I started "The Jordan Rules" about 10ish years ago but never finished it. I bought Playing for Keeps and the Jordan Rules at the same tie last week, so Halberstam's book is next on my quarantine reading list. I've read Breaks of the Game by Halberstam, but never got around to reading Playing for Keeps. And I'll definitely be adding Lazenby's book to my list.

I remember waking up and watching sports center before school and all the Pippen discussions. Sports Center wasn't shy about siding with Pippen and saying how underpaid he was.

Scottie probably rolling over in his grave seeing how widespread max contracts are being thrown around for role players.

Keeps is a great, great book. I re-read it every 5 years or so and it never gets old. And I wasn't even a Bulls fan. It's just so well reported and so well written.

With two close family members in wheelchair, I can't blame him. You have to provide and having that experience make you super conscious that one bad move could end it all.

He went for the safest route.
