They have the best position to acquire him.

The Warriors would need to part with Klay Thompson to get Giannis, no way am I seeing Milwalkee taking back either Draymond or Wiggins.

No.1 pick, Wiggins, Klay and maybe(likely not; depends on the timing) even Steph.

Come on now. What did Anthony Davis fetch? Did he fetch and all-star? Nope...he got some nice young pieces and draft picks.

History...please actually observe the history of the NBA. Feel free to name me one trade in the history of NBA that traded back equal value for a star that wanted to leave (IF that's the case...and it is the case if he decides not to take a MAX this summer).

And maybe Steph....lol...thanks...I needed that!

He's not leaving Milwaukee, that's the place he has the best chance to win so why would he go to older not as good teams? Giannis is a family man and isn't trying to be some movie producer or hang out in some world class strip club, none of the reasons guys bolt for bigger markets applies to Giannis. GS, Toronto, Lakers, what's the pitch?

Get use to having a dynasty in Milwaukee. 8-)

There doesnt exist a world where the Bucks trade Giannis to a team without cap space.

Since there's not likely to be a single team with cap space next season, I guess that world doesn't exist. But why would the Bucks care if a team had cap space, if they liked the trade?

I think he probably stays with the Bucks. But, if he does leave I think he chooses Dallas. I have reason beyond being a homer. Donnie Nelson has known his family since he was a kid and has been scouting him for many years. He would also join KP and Luka forming the most dominant euro big 3 ever.

The only way Giannis lands on the Warriors is if he publicly comes out and says he wants out of Milwaukee and wants to play for Golden State like AD/LA situation. But that has zero chance of happening because Milwaukee built a good team around him unlike what New Orleans did with AD.

Why not? Kareem left the Bucks for the Lakers and it changed his life for the better. You don't think Giannis knows this? He seems like a smart kid.

If there is a chance to trade for Giannis, a good GM will find ways to create cap space.

There is no way the Warriors could create cap space, but why do they need cap space? If they're trading, all they need to do is match salaries. Has nothing to do with cap space.

Well they'd need to convince Milwaukee that paying Wiggins and or Draymond over the next few years is better than just letting him walk. How many FRP's could entice them? Start with what Paul George got the Thunder then multiply it by two.

Nowadays, if a player says he wants to go to a certain team while he’s on contract. The team he’s with loses all the leverage and have to take whatever the team he wants to play with offers. This is why its rare to impossible to get a fair deal when dealing for a star.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Going to GSW would just be an incredibly dumb move. If he chose to go there, even after seeing everything KD went through, I would question whether him or someone close to him has a brain injury. It’s an immediate legacy destroyer. If you want a super team and maintain your status in the league just do what Kawhi did and build your own team. He has the leverage to do that with any team he picks.

As a Toronto fan, him coming is a crazy pipe dream. We’ve never had a single good (or maybe even average) free agent signing, and now the best player in the league is going to come here? Last time I checked we’re about 0-94 in trying to sign all stars and 4 for 4 in losing all star players (even after one just won the championship here).

Miami somehow managed to create cap space so that’s probably a terrible sign for the rest of the league (though maybe the ghost of the Lebron Miami days is enough to keep him away).

People are hating on KD because he beat LeBron in his own game a.k.a. winnings rings on stacked team w/o choking.

And speaking about LeBron, was his move to Miami Heat a "legacy destroyer" after teaming up Wade & Bosh?

I mean, LeBron expected to win multiple rings with the least possible adversity.

There are no simlarities with KD.
The Warriors are on a 15-50 record. They are not champions anymore, not even considered a top team by this board.
Every once in a while you see threads claiming that the warriors will not be a contender anymore, that they are past their prime etc.
The reasons Giannis has to play for GS are two:

1) he really likes steph and the two of them seem to get along fine
2) his girlfriend is from California and her parents live there

It's a certainty that his agents will add more to this:
-Bigger market, more endorsemements, more coverage.
Does Giannis cares for the above? Probably not. On the contrary he seems annoyed every time someone tries to follow him with a camera on the streets for example.
But his girlfriend and her family is not a factor you can take lightly. He clearly values family above everything.
If his family wants to go to California, this will be crucial.

Milwaukee is in pole position.
The team is ready, the coach is good, the front office one of the best. New arena, new practice facilities.
A quiet and peaceful environment for him to grow up his son away from the lights.
If they don't win this year, he will stay. He wants a championship there.
If they do win tho, my opinion is that he will walk. He will no longer have that motive and obligation.
Messi. Jordan. Ali. Bolt. Senna. Serena. Karelin. Phelps. Rossi. Suleymanoglou. The GOATs.
