If/when Siakim accomplishes that, then yeah you can consider him as good.

Pippen led the bulls to 55 - 27 record and lost in 2nd round the year he finished 3rd in MVP voting. Took him 38 mpg to put up 22, 8.7, 5.6. Thats in scotties 7th or 8th season.

In siakim just 4th season, 23.6, 7.5, 3.6 in 35 mpg and has the raps on pace to win a lot. Siakim has already proven to be the better and way more efficient scorer than scottie . In siakims 3rd year he put up 63 ts% a number that pippen can only dream of and also won the championship at a younger age with kawhi who is significantly worse than Jordan.

Obvioisly pippen is better defensively but based off what we have witnessed to say his ceiling isnt at least pippen is a lie.

Keep in mind that peak Pippen played in an era of slow it down, grind it out half court offense that was still focused on low post scoring. His 22 ppg was good for 8th in the league in scoring. The scoring output was bad enough that the league moved in the 3 point line to bump up scoring (it didn’t work, but the point is they were desperate to try it).

Siakim’s 23.6 ppg is good for 15th in the league in scoring. It’s a strategically different era with different rules that favors more scoring.

how old are you? Pippen is a top 50 all time NBA player. Siakem is a very good player who is getting better every year.

Siakam started the season with a bang, but faltered greatly down the stretch before the season was suspended. It seems that a lot of people has that early season Siakam in their minds.

Pippen was a stud who won with defense and built his stats early in the game.

Siakam is a great defender, but relies greatly on defensive help that was not allowed by rule when Pippen played. Siakam has a long way to go to equal Pippen.

Unfair comparison. Pippin played in an era where you could literally be killed by sword/arrow/magic etc. during gameplay.

Pippen and Siakam wouldn’t be able to handle the physicality and brutality of that era.

I seriously don't think it's a crazy thought.

Obviously Pippen was better in his prime, but current Siakam is great already (Top 20 player) and he is now entering his prime, so it's just the beginning for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of years Siakam will be on another higher level and will be as good as Pippen was. It's already close enough to have the conversation.
