This is not good if this is true.

Plenty of us called this.

He's too big, he's always going to struggle with his weight and his play style will lead to serious injuries.

Whomever leaked out the "changed body" and "best shape" stories need to be cut from the team or his inner circle. It's just going to backfire.

Yeah....I think it says more about his lack of work ethic and eating habits then anything. The only thing this guy has to do is keep his weight in check to get millions and play a great game. I hope this doesn't become an thing for him....

Ya dont think you need to be a pro scout to see this. He is clearly the heaviest we have ever seen him and his conditioning is pretty much a joke. He doesn't put any effort on the defensive end yet somehow he is still visibly gassed after just a few minutes.

I really don't know what would be worse. Him dealing with another injury which has caused him to put on the weight and that is why the training staff really has him on a minutes restriction.

Or in just a few months time he got so out of shape that he is the only player in the bubble that is on a minutes restriction because of being so out of shape.

Either way, there are some major red flags right now with him. He is either a walking injury or just cant control his weight. He is putting on weight at a pretty alarming rate and it has drastically affected his game.

His knees are gonna rip one day if he doesn’t lose 30-40 pounds. He’d 20, not injured but still on a 3 min at a time restriction. Why is that? He needs to realise that he can’t Sustain playing at that weight

I do have a feeling that if the Pels lose today, we may see the Pels just shut Zion down.

They should at least shut down his access to room service.

Perhaps that horrific Issac injury yesterday will scare him into some calorie counting. Because as is, his knees aren't long for this world

Interesting. In his first game I thought he was moving better than he did before the lockdown, despite being fatter. He looked quick off the dribble. Even on defense he was in a lower crouch than before and looked generally more active, I thought. Also in transition he wasn't dragging around his right leg like he was before lockdown.

I didn't watch the second game so maybe that's where this scout's negative assessment of his movement is coming from.

Or maybe I'm just taking crazy pills.

Hold on. He was out of shape in summer league wasn't he? Then he had all these Pelicans gyms in his use way sooner than most in NBA and all that hyping up new coming of his?

I still can't understand how he's in worse shape in the NBA than he was in college...

I'm starting to wonder if he's got some kind of medical hormone type issue. It's just crazy how much weight this guys is gaining.

Oh he's got some "medical hormones" alright. Trenbolone acetate, to be exact.

I remember some post a couple days ago suggested that he might have suffered hypothyroidism, which will drastically slow down your metabolism. Even even, there are endocrinologists who could prescribed you the necessary meds in order for your body to function normally again.

He looked good to me against the jazz (only caught the highlights tho) didn't see the other 1

Trade him to the Heat, they'll get him right. Pels are coddling him hardcore because he's their meal ticket.

I worry he probably ate large meals everyday and just lounged around his house during the shutdown. Probably prefers eating to playing. I keep telling myself he's fine but something's wrong definitely. I dont know if we ever see him play half a season. I hope he doesnt become one of those "what could've been" stories down the line
