He was playing amazing before the NBA season was suspended. His Bubble play was definitely disappointing imo

"somehow". Had nothing to do with AD publicly demanding a trade to LA.

And people still want to draft LaMelo ball like he will be any better when he is probably an even WORSE shooter.

Pray for the team that drafts this bust.

I think everyone on the Pelicans basically agreed that this was not their season. Hence why Lonzo is saying look at me next season. They gave up and haven't been trying 100%.

Sucks because he was playing really well before the cancellation. Just has to keep working, he's only 22

The Lakers basically traded Ingram and picks for Davis. Pels should have tried to get Kuzma or Caruso instead of Ball.

This. They got Ingram and a few crappy FRPs. Lonzo probably isn't worth his 4th year rookie option.

Agree Pels should have asked for Kuzma instead. He looked better than Lonzo at the time.

Simmons...Ball...Stop it. If you can't reliably shoot or are least dominate the game in big stretches....your just not legit.
Tired of all the excuses for these guys. DOMINATE or sit down.

It is crazy just how awful he has been from the field in so many games.

He went 2-13 against the Jazz

2-6 against the Clippers

2-7 against the Grizzlies

1-7 against the Wizards

2-10 against the Spurs.

As I said in the game thread, unless Zion decide to become Prime Lebron and be the primary ballhandler for the team, it is hard to imagine the Pelicans being contender in the future with a PG like Lonzo who isn't even a threat on offense.

Dissapointing? no.

Ive thought he is azz for awhile, he is right on with my expectations.

Lonzo's a decent backup point guard at best.

i think it has a lot to do with him lacking any real self-confidence and being timid on the court. he is just not comfortable scoring the ball.

Depends on your expectations.

I think he’ll be a solid 2nd pg for a long time in the league. High IQ and athleticism can take you far. Never thought he’d be a star though, can’t really get a bucket when needed.

I think LaMelo won’t last nearly as long in the league.

Lonzo's ceiling is still Jason Kidd. But maybe just 2nd tour in Dallas Kidd.

I still think he can be a serviceable starter on a good team (and that's with me hating on him at the start of the season just because of how little he's shown in LA). For sure he needs to clean up his finishing around the rim and be able to hit open 3s and it's almost a certainty that he'll never be an offensive juggernaut that is befitting that of a 2nd overall draft pick, but he can have a sneaky solid career.
I think a really good situation for him would be next to an offensively gifted pg that's more suited to being off ball but can carry a large portion of the team's offence by himself (eg. Dame, Russ), and a bunch of athletically gifted 3nD wings that Ball can utilize on the break.
