So the Lakers have a big 3 now??

Post#1 » by WuriderX » Tue Aug 11, 2020 2:22 pm

More media BS. They beat a Denver Nuggets team that didn't play any of their starters in the 4th quarter and still needs a last second 3 to win. Now despite the last 3 beat downs everything is alright again in Laker town. it's crazy how one lucky win changes everything.
Denver was killing them with bench players. These boys are in trouble.

I think he meant for this to be an internal rant in his head that accidentally became a post at all.

The Lakers don’t have anything resembling a big 3.

You guys do know that after the 3rd game of the bubble (after clinching the 1 seed), the rest of the lakers games were all useless to them. They could have played their G-league team the rest of the way, & it wouldn’t have mattered.

Reading too much about nothing.

Yes, for all the talk about the sixers tanking, people forget the Lakers tanked for 3-4 seasons themselves. They drafted 7th, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd four years in a row to get their superstar in Anthony Davis and free Agent Lebron.

Tanking works. Just ask the Lakers.

You do know the 1st seed doesn't matter, right? They're playing in a bubble. No home court advantage anymore. Yes it affects who they play in the first round but if they're legit it shouldn't matter who they face.

People always use the "they're not trying because they already clinched the 1st seed" excuse to justify all the issues LA has shown on the court.

It's nice that Kuzma hit a game winner but it hides the fact that the Lakers starters almost lost to the Nuggets bench in the 4th quarter. Of course Lakers will find a way to be better in the Playoffs when it matters, but if they struggle I wonder what the excuse will be, because right now everyone is saying thEyRe NoT tRyiNg cUz dEy cLiNcHeD 1sT sEeD aLrEaDy.

I’m trying to figure out the logic behind a team being ‘in trouble’ after the sat their starters for the 4th quarter of what amounts to a glorified exhibition game for them.

Exactly what information is this telling us other than the Lakers didn’t think the game was important?

The Lakers have been destroying the Nuggets all year. Out of the 4 games they played, Denver only beat them once, and it was when LeBron didn't play. The Lakers beat Denver twice on their home floor this year.

Take away what ever you want from this game, but Denver ain't beating them in a series. Jokic has a tough time against the three-headed monster McGee-Howard-Davis

How many times will people recite the same thing over and over again? The playoffs can't come soon enough.

This has nothing to do with this thread but...

You know... I thought it was pretty great of Vogel to give that shot to Kuzma after he committed the foul that tied it. Makes a difference to him.

Who's the third big three - Kuzma? :D
