lebron is more important to lal than ad, but what would be the lakers' record without ad. last i saw the lakers have TWO top5 players. how often does that happen,,,maybe shaq and kobe? curry and kd? you know how rare that is and what an advantage that is? you giving lebron all the credit absolutely dismisses ad like he's chum.

Lakers are 3-4 in the bubble. MVP of losing maybe.

Ooof. Some people still don't see this. Last year Lakers were .500 team with the King. And only major signings this year? Davis and Howard.

All it proved to me was that the shutdown tossed the Lakers completely off rhythm the most out of all the teams.

LeBron has been awful in the bubble yet he's the MVP of the season because of it? What kind of logic is this?

The Lakers looked bad because they had nothing to play for. People seriously underestimate how important motivation is.

Wtf logic is this OP....

Peanut butter is sticky. It’s the best material to make doors out of. I use strawberry jam to build spacecraft. Uncle fester is the best GM in the bubble.

Klay Thompson is the MVP.

I mean did you see the Warriors without him this season? They were so bad that they missed the whole Playoffs!! And Steph looked bad in the 4 games without Klay! Klay is MVP for sure.

If Lebron would go back in time to play with the Dream Team then Lebron's fans would say that he carried the team and the other players were just role players. And how amazing it is that Lebron won games with so little help.

Is the award, the:

best player in the league award

or the

the team really sucks without him award?

Of the three MVP candidates, I would agree with the OP. In 2020, Harden is a weak MVP candidate. If Harden were replaced with Jokic or Doncic, it's a closer call.

I don't know if that makes him the MVP, but being consistently great night in and night with only the occasional clunker is pre-requisite for a superstar in my book.

Davis was arguably at that level before the bubble, but the real key is how consistent he is in the playoffs. If he doesn't play well in at least 4 games in each series, the Lakers probably won't advance give or take VideoGameJames getting dusted off.

Have you seen the Bucks play sans Giannis? That team just isn't very good. Maybe 40 wins if they go all out.
