I think Boylen was running his mouth in the hopes of getting fired so he could just get his money and leave. Is JB Bickerstaff or TY Lue available? Bulls need a coach to coddle their hard working disciplined young core.

Sane wrote:Yeah fine, but their front office have been horrible judges of talent and that's the main problem they need to fix. I think they hired some new people this summer.

If they find a coach that can convince Lavine to go to the line 9+ times a game, it will turn them around. That's one thing they can do that costs nothing but being educated about how to motivate a person with that age/fame/talent/generation. Guys like Boylen, Thibs, JVG are no good at that.

Could also be they saw Phoenix's success and thought there's no way they would see that kind of growth with Boylen, which may or may not be fair. I'm sure he's a poor game strategist, but his qualities might have been exactly what they needed before being handed over to another coach.

Curious about what Bulls fans think.

They hired entirely new front office this summer, and new GM has been cleaning house the whole time, Boylen was last man standing.

The Bulls are nuts. The fans loved Boylen, the players loved him. He was winning, everything was going great. I can't understand it.

Nothing about this is accurate.

Hire Adrian Griffin as coach and sign Chicago native FVV to fill the PG - I believe this team should make the playoff next year

It could be both. Boylen definitely isn't suited to coach professionals

Adrian Griffin has ties with the Bulls. He can surely help them after winning a championship with the Raps and learning a thing or two from Nick Nurse. I'd be happy for him if he gets a job with the Bulls or another team, but I'd like to keep him with the Raps as well.

Finally. Never should've been a coach in the first place. Happy for Bulls fans

Yeaah, Griffin is about to be run out of the league in a couple days because this story with his ex-wife is not pretty. Plus there is a new target on the NBA and its teams and everything they do so they probably don't want to give the naysayers any more ammo to call them hypocrites. I expect the Raptors to release Griffin very shortly.

Why would you want to obstruct Coby Whites development?
My opinion may not be your opinion or their opinion but I have it.

FVV is pretty young and he knows how to play with another PG, White, Lavine, FVV rotation could easily work I think.

I don’t think the Raptors will fire the guys for some accusations.

I would have expected a move like the Knicks if it was the same management... but I think they go with Atkinson or Udoka. Both seem to be players coaches regardless of how it ended for Kenny.

Buzzard wrote:I think its a good move but still hate it. The coaching pool is about to get thinner. If Pierce does not right the ship, the Hawks just might be looking for one after next season. Or sooner if things start off really bad in 2020/21.

How are you already at this stage of discontent? The Hawks team is full of young guys still getting their feet wet, with most completely unproven at the NBA level. Trae still needs to refine his game as well, even though he's insanely talented. The Hawks won't be competing for the playoffs for at least a few seasons, no matter who the coach is.
