Would you have preferred Sun vs Blazers over Grizzlies?

I just don’t think MEM is properly equipped to make a meaningful run in the playoffs, while Suns looked like prime upset material

Portland and Phoenix not tiring each other out before they have to go up against the Lakers is a positive though. Do need Dame dropping 60 on LeBron in my life.

If JJJ was healthy then I wouldn't have minded. Losing your 2nd best player while being in their position is too much.

This suns team better win 50 games next season, because the amount of hype they are getting after the bubble is getting pretty ridiculous

The 2 guys in the running for MVP of the bubble, where this game could have decided it?
Suns/Blazers was a sexy matchup and ratings grab. The only people who I think wouldn't have wanted it are Griz fans, and maybe Blazer fans (more difficult matchup).

Agreed. 8 games in a bubble where half the teams are scrambling to get up to speed aren't gonna turn a trash team into contenders, which is what people are hinting at. Its pretty funny though.
And the Suns are going to regress. They'd be lucky to win 30. Every year there is a hyped team from a poorly run organization that goes nowhere the following season. Hawks this season and the Kings the year before. All these teams are carbon copies of one another.

I reject that the Suns, Grizz or Blazers are primed to make any meaningful runs. The difference between these teams is maybe winning a few quarters or a game, and that is not my definition meaningful run.

I dont think people with reasonable expectations expect Suns to win 50 games, but they should be back to competing for a top 6 seed like the previous iteration before Book arrived

Grizzlies have injuries to good players in Winslow and JJJ. So of course they're going to look worse than what they are. It is what it is. Suns can prove themselves next season.

This. The Suns are healthy so yeah they would be more interesting in the play-in, but the Grizzlies (barely) earned it. A healthy Grizz team would have been a lot of fun. Even with just JJJ and no Winslow or Tyus, the POR vs MEM game earlier in the bubble was a great game. Like KingDavid said, it is what it is. I look forward to watching PHX next season.

Everybody is quick to hop on Phoenix and they’ve had a great run but I think Memphis could make a much bigger jump next season. Morant and Jackson jr to me have potential to make huge leaps

Not at all. I like Memphis team and their approach to the game. Of course they are undermanned and are missing key players but I like their effort and grind. Reminds me of those Bulls teams a couple years ago that were missing their stars and Thibodeau still managed to get them into the playoffs because of their gritty play. Just my kind of basketball.

The Suns looked like the much better team early on in the season and then they lost Ayton and Baynes for much of the year. The Grizzles are the younger inexperienced team earlier in their rebuild. I would have expected the Suns to have had more of a chance to make things interesting.

Neither the Suns or Grizzlies core would have taken a game off the Blazers...

I picked Grizzlies because they made it within the rules and I don’t see the point in rewarding a franchise that sucked all year long until it decided to start trying hard at the end. Good riddance Suns!!

The Suns weren't healthy. They were without Oubre and Baynes.

The regular season wasn’t 8 games. The Suns made an improbable albeit impressive run in the bubble. They came up 1 game short. It is what it is.
