He is being asked to guard LeBron.

+/- here is not really a helpful stat considering he's being asked to do something he didn't have a hope of achieving. *Shrug*

What happened to "Everyone owes Melo an apology?"

The guys is averaging 13 shots a game. He has no business putting up that many shots a night if guarding Lebron is so taxing that it’s breaking his jumper that bad.

Do you really think Mario Hezonja would do any better? We don't have any other choice here.

Yeah he’s done ok. He’s really like a 5th best player on the team type guy now. Probably should embrace the bench.

Like others have said he’s been given a role well beyond his ability. Some of that falls on himself of course but yeah..

His iso game don't work vs a great defense like the Lakers.

Glad the Lakers never signed, still makes me smile that he has proven allot of people wrong. I remember people saying he is not playable in this league. Him coming off the bench being a 4th option for a team would be perfect. He is the clear cut 3rd option for the Blazers and starts, which is not good.

The fact that his great friend Lebron didnt want him to join his team for nothing time after time said it all.

Yeah, he hasn't been good, but I will say this, he hasn't been any worse than Tobias Harris was against Celtics, for 15 times less money.

Without Melo they weren't going to the Playoffs in the first place.

Lakers are pretty good. What are the stats of other players on lower seeded teams so far this 1st round?

melo has been washed for three years. he'll have a couple decent games and for some reason people think that means he's aging backwards like benjamin button. or he'll change his hairstyle, or wear a hoodie, or lose some weight, and then it's a "different" melo who is going to suddenly change his game for the first time in his 16-year career.

he's done.

Exactly ! He came up huge a bunch this season.

He's in year 17 not everyone is Lebron but no one expected prime melo.

he's still deserves to be in the league and that was the point of discussion when no team signed him

Melo haters are wrong regardless how he's played these playoffs

He is what he is at this point, good value for a minimal contract, but you can't expect him to do much as a third option against a top defensive team while having to defend LeBron on the other end.

The goal post has been moved so much when it comes to Melo. There’s no point in having these discussions, really.

I think this is where we see a lot of confusion. "He's done" and "5th best player on a team type" don't fit for me. Luckily, since you said both, I can assume "he's done" for you means he is done being who he used to be and is no longer a star. I think everybody can agree on that. I usually think of "he's done" as "he's unplayable" and I often see people say he's done without elaborating.

I said “ he’s done ok” not “he’s done, ok?”.... As in I think he hasn’t done too bad.
