The Eastern contenders would beat the 2018 contenders asses (compare the 2020 Celtics to the 2018 with rookie Tatum on it) - conversely, the 2018 WC had the Durant Warriors and Harden/CP3 Rockets who would dominate the LA teams.

The West will be favored, but the gap between the Lakers and Clippers just isn't as big as the less sexy Eastern teams. The Nuggets are reasonably competitive with the Clippers and there is nothing to suggest that the Nuggets would beat any of the remaining Eastern teams.

Again GSP, as a Miami fan... I hope this thread ages as well as milk lol.

This has been said before on numerous occasions, but the top 4 teams in the East are stronger than the top 4 teams in the West.

Not necessarily. The top teams in the East are very good. Both the Raptors and the Celtics had their way with the Lakers during the regular season.

The west teams are more talented, but the top eastern conference teams are much better coached and have better cohesion and chemistry. Either the Lakers or Clippers will be favored to win the finals, but coach Spo or Nick or Brad will make it a close and competitive series.

Talent almost always matters more and wins out in the end. Coaching matters but not that much. this aint the Nfl

2014 Spurs are one of the only times i can remember it not being true for a title run and they were 2-2 with Okc when Ibaka played and Miami while more talented on paper Wade/Bosh were running of fumes by the finals

don't know about the clippers, but the lakers have issues with Toronto and Miami. not so much with the Celtics or the bucks

Regular season doesnt matter anymore. Houston microball gave Lakers alot of fits and now when theyre able to lock in theyre already figured out and not on their level

They don't have to halt them to win 4 games. If Heat playoff offense holds up, they definitely have a chance.

Any of the remaining eastern teams easily sweep aside the LA chumps in the finals.
