They can’t just “take on salary” when over the cap. They have to match salary. They can take on 15% more (I think). They have the MLE, but the also have Harrell as a RFA. I’m not sure wtf this means because it doesn’t really make sense.

They can’t be naive enough to think you can get better players back simply because they are on longer deals...that if I just signed say FVV to 4 years tomorrow, that deal is worth less because it’s longer than an equal guy on a two year deal? Wtf.

Are there any timebounds to trading futures? Since they own their picks beyond 2028, maybe they could start pillaging those as well.

Clippers have no trade worthy assets unless pandemic p (who doesn't have a high value after this gong show) and nephew are on the block to do a significant change. Other GMs have to rob clippers as much as possible. They have no draft picks as incentives. Only Philly and NY can be robbed by clippers because of their front office incompetence.

The other issue with trading for Paul is OKC is in no hurry to make the Clippers better. The other options are extremely limited. Klove is going to be moved at some point.

Who else really? You have to find a flawed player who has a massive deal can still play but will have very little interest there are only so many type of those guys out there and then you have to find a team that thinks your players are either going to help them more or they can flip them as part of a rebuild.

Maybe they can throw in their coach to make a deal. He once was worth a 1st round pick.

Sure, upgrade it by removing Pat "Im Gonna Hurt You Sucka!" Beverly and Paul "Im in the driver's seat!" George.

Docs fired and Paul back to the clips would be championship territory. They need someone who can get the offense moving and push the tempo. No more iso ball.

I don't think they have a PG. Huge problem for them is running everything through the same two ISO players.

I really don't see how they can upgrade. They have eight contracts for 20/21 and decisions what to do with Morris, Harrell, Lue and Green. Even without any of these extensions they are up to $109 mil salary in era of upcoming significant cap reduction. LOL - they deserve all what's coming to them (not that I am worried ).
