Of course they should.

1. Realize that Jokic is a superelite MVP caliber player. The analytics aren't lying here.

2. Murray seems to be taking a major step forward from skilled youngster to legit stud.

3. They have all sorts of versatile skilled complementary depth.

For me, #1 and #3 have always been clear. I wasn't sure if #2 would ever happen but if it's for real then this Nuggets team is kind of a juggernaut.

As a Lakers fan, I am taking the Nuggets very seriously.

Those guys have unparalleled mental fortitude. They are the most relentless team I've ever seen. They are a better team than the Clippers, and they deserve every praise.

Jokic is a top 3 player for me, and Murray is a natural scorer with a warrior's heart.

I am very, very uncomfortable with the Lakers entering this series as the top dogs. There is no team that scares me more as the underdog than the Nuggets. A perfect storm is brewing and I just hope we don't end up being just another victim left behind.

By fans, yes. They were much better this second series with Harris playing more like himself.

The Lakers have thus far dissected and then risen to their opponents. They won't be caught napping.

While there is no excuse for the Dumbnamic Duo crapping the bed in Game 7, at some point people will need to clue in the Nuggets are potentially a growing powerhouse...

It’s crazy I see so many people prior to this past series treat the Nuggets trajectory like the Rockets when the reality is HOU has two 30+ year olds with bloated contracts and the worst “superstar” Playoff track record maybe of all time meanwhile DEN like the Mavs has a young inclining core but people dismissed it because they’ve become accustom to Nuggets success despite the fact Murray is showing he had barely scratched the surface of his potential, Gary Harris had missed bunch of time n is only getting his legs under him and MP Jr is only starting to work his way into the rotation (never mind when Bol does likewise next year) AND all of them are nowhere near their primes and just going to continue to develop. Assuming health, eventually people will have to get with it or get lost.

C Jokic 24
F Grant 25
F Porter 21
G Harris 25
G Murray 22

6 Morris

Not sure about Grant, but that's still a pretty scary set of young talent. They're gonna be very good for a very long time.

Jokic has been a top-10 player since his sophomore season but people didn't want to admit it because he's fat and slow. Even this year, few people took him seriously until now.

I don't get this blanket statement, he's be good for a while now.

Reminds me a little bit of the 2011 Mavs who were getting disrespected after every series win all the way through the title. Nuggets should be taken seriously.

At this point you’d have to be insane not to take them seriously. I still like the Lakers chances and think they’ll pull out the series win but the idea that the Nuggets are going to be an easy out needs to be retired altogether. They might be the first team I’m still absolutely terrified of even if we do go up 3-1 on them because clearly that doesn’t mean anything any more. If anything that give them the motivation they probably need to play better. Again I’m trying not to overreact to what we just witnessed but we should all be way past the point where we can simply dismiss them as a contender.

I hope the Lakers don't under estimate them. They are a great team. I think it's fair to say the two best teams in the west are in the WCF. I think the Lakers will win but it will be a battle.

It's crazy that Jokic is only 24. He has been putting up these numbers since he was 21.

Not only was he a late second round pick, but he was more NBA ready than 95% of lottery picks.

Nuggets did an awesome job but a healthy Mavs team would have dropped the Clippers off in 6. They shouldn't even have gotten out of the first round.

They have a much bigger chance at inside growth than the Jazz though, Jokic, Murray, Morris, Porter are all 25 or under, Grant and Harris just turned 26 recently, they can all still potentially improve. The Jazz look like a treadmill team at this point, and I would probably retool around Mitchell as soon as possible.

All I know is if this Nuggets team beats the Lakers and win it all, this run will probably be viewed very similarly to the Mavs run a decade ago. A team that a lot of people kind of slept on, especially when it comes to them going against the stacked teams with superstars.

Nuggs are dangerous and should be taken seriously. They are youngins and have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Why is the Mavs future substantially better somehow? Porzingis is super injury prone. Luka is a beast obviously but is Luka more valuable than Jokic + Murray combined? Nah. Jokic alone is comparable right now though Luka is younger so he has a better future.

This post is a load of BS. You're deluded if you think any of those teams could have taken on the clippers.
