He's the best offensive player on the heat imo

And he's tough as nails too. Doesn't get the love he deserves.

Top 5 Pg in the league when healthy (not counting Lebron and Harden as Pgs)

Always loved Dragic's game.
Glad he's finally healthy and with an opportunity to do it on a big stage. He deserves some recognition.

Kind of agree. The Heat tried to salary dump him in order to sign Butler AND the Mavs didn't want to take him.

It's really fun to see him get one more moment in the sun, and to think that it will likely re-shape how people see him to something more accurate.

I've thought a lot about this. I'd say that because Dragic's peak season in Phoenix came relatively late (they'd already gotten rid of him once), folks tended to dismiss it as a fluke. And because him making it as an all-star in Miami was totally a case of other guys getting hurt in the already weaker conference, it's understandable that didn't move the needle for a lot of people.

What they don't see is that Dragic has basically been a gamer his whole career but he's never made a team see him as a franchise player so he's basically lingered a bit out of the spotlight. He could have had more seasons like his best in Phoenix, and he could have been playing like he currently is more when he was younger in Miami if he'd been so empowered. He could have had a career where he was a perennial all-star really. And instead of getting petulant about not being given that opportunity, his been a fantastic culture gut in Miami which allowed him to be right here right now. Pretty cool.

Of course, it's clear that Miami is doing this as an ensemble. Calling Dragic the best offensive player on the Heat is not crazy at all, but Miami have several different types of offensive attack is making each different type more effective than it could expect to be if you just built everything around one of them in classic LeBron fashion.

Dragic, id say is the hardest worker on the Heat since 2015.

Knew his role, came off the bench when asked even when he was pissed, never took it out on anyone... just played his role. Rumors about him being traded to Dallas last season, kept poise and knew it was just business but FORTUNATELY didnt go through.

All season he was the back up PG behind Nunn, whom is a rookie and Dragic never complained. Now hes reaping the benefits from his sacrifices as a starter in the ECF, putting up amazing numbers through out the whole post-season.

There is a reason why Jimmy says hes the best teammate hes ever had. Real recognize real.

Hope he retires as a Heat.

To me Dragic has been a legit all-star talent. I remember that year he made an all-nba talent and what he did with that suns team was impressive. Savvy playmaker, dynamic scorer, can get where he wants, crafty. His returining to all-star, borderline All-NBA form (22/5/5 with good efficiency) has been massive for the heat. When he's going like this it's very hard to beat this team, especially when Bam is also an all-star and Jimmy is a super saiyan glue guy that's also getting 22/5/5 on good efficiency with elite defense. This team just has an endless supply of cutters, shooters and people that can create of the dribble. They're going to be absolutely deadly for the next few years. I hope Dragic can keep riding this out.

First time I saw him was in the Madrid Eurobasket of 2007.

He was the player that impressed me the most of the whole tournament. I remember thinking he was a wizard a la Maravich. He was very young back then, but man, he was fearless and very creative.

Arguably the best PG in the Eastern Conference, or if not, 2nd after Kyle Lowry.

I love Dragic. He's got an excellent feel for the game. And he can masterfully play off of screens. I think Bam is partly the reason why he's shining so bright at the moment.

What's the most Dallas could offer for a big one year contract?
Might be a good strategy, and then Goran could pay it forward and take team friendly deals the rest of his career and that would leave money open for a top FA in the summer of 2021.

Has always been one of the most fun players to watch, and always has the heart of champion. Injuries and sometimes his role on the team just got in the way.

It’s so fun watching him on this heat team run the high screen pick and roll. You know exactly what he’s going to, and you just can’t stop him from forcing his way to the rim.

It’s crazy what a night and day difference there is in comparing the aesthetics of Dragic and Harden on the pick and roll. Dragic’s is a thing of beauty, while Harden leaves you disgusted.
