the GB's not gonna like this but the 2020 raptors without Kawhi would've put up a good fight against them also

Lakers, the moment the Raptors see LeBron stepping onto the hardwood it's BBQ chicken.

Id be very interested to see it. Davis has not historically been a massive problem for Toronto and LeBron doesn't have the shooters around him he did during the LeBronto years.

To me it seems clear last year's Raps were better than this years Clippers (clearly better frontcourt and point guard play) so I think it would have been a fun matchup.

This wasn't the case at all the last two years. With or without Kawhi. Cleveland was a different team/era for both LeBron and Raps.

They don't call LeBron LeBronto for a reason. Lakers in six

Lakers in 7.
With Lowry and Gasol there are no vocal leadership duties for Kawhi. He can just focus on what he does best, scoring.

In addition, no need for him to take over play making duties.

So he wouldn't have these weird low efficiency games.

Also the Raptors collective basketball IQ is great. But hard to bet against bron in a game 7.

Lakers have the better defense and easily the best two players in the series. They probably sweep.

Raps w/o Kawhi were 2-0 vs Lakers this season. 1-0 w/o Kawhi, Lowry, Ibaka. With Kawhi, I'd bet on the Raps.

Raps had a better defensive rating in both regular season and playoffs...

Lotta guys on here only watch their own team play.. the 2020 raptors have been better than the 2020 miami heat all season long and would have been a much tougher matchup for the LAL. Hell they almost made the conference finals without kawhi AND Siakam lol

probably raptors in 5 or 6. raptors wouldve been repeat favorites and likely going for their 3peat if kawhi stayed

Raps with Kawhi would wipe them off the court imho.

They’d basically be last season’s championship Raptors on every steroid known to man with how much better Powell, VanVleet, Siakam, and OG have gotten. Even Lowry is better this year than last. And it’d be another year of chemistry, another year under Nurse. They’d be pretty damn close to the perfect team.

Sure, it was the bubble that caused them to not make it  .

Raptors would be a really tough match-up. Gasol/Ibaka, Pascal, and Kawhi make for a large enough frontcourt to compete with AD, Lebron, and Howard/McGee. The Raptors back-court is also much better than the Lakers back-court (even accounting for depth). I'd say it could go either way in a 6-7 game series. The Lakers have a lot of physicality.

Lakers.
Can't see Toronto even with Kawhi beating a LeBron+AD led team in the playoffs
