No one on the Heat shook hands with the Lakers other than UD

Post#1 » by Heej » Mon Oct 12, 2020 5:12 am

Honestly, just a truly trashy display of a major lack of sportsmanship and professionalism from the Miami Heat's side. It's completely understandable for players not to shake hands during a series because you're at war with the other team, but at the end of the day you're just a sore loser if you can't at least make the effort to display that kind of common decency when the series finishes.

Even someone like Draymond was able to dap up the Cavs after their championship, and he was widely considered to be a major scumbag that season. UD was the only real one on Miami that entire time. Clearly this is why the Heat went out sorry the one time the Lakers played angry this series. Just a complete lack of true leadership.

Karma is a b**** don't be surprised if Miami fails to make it back here with this squad. Especially with Giannis potentially going the Dame route. The Heat are who we thought they were. Trash and soft.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

I forgive the Heat. I think it's hard for those of us living outside the bubble to understand the psychology of those competing inside the bubble.

I was really disappointed in that. Was looking foward for a Butler/Lebron interaction. Props to Denver for being so classy.

And shook hands after every finals series he lost. There’s a difference. This is much bigger

The fact that this is the first thread on this topic is kind of sad seeing that LeBrons walking off the court had the entirety of the media covering it for 2 days. LeBron has shook hands after every finals series he’s lost in his career. Don’t compare walking off with .7 seconds to what the whole heat team did

Props to spo. Props to butler. They gave us 2 losses, and dropped us cold for those 2. They went beyond expectations, and have a bright future. They will make noise in the east for sure, and need 1 more to shoot them over the top. No hate for being upset, its that never die attitude that gave us problems this series

Yeah, not a good look. I commend them (especially Jimmy) for stepping up in the series but behaving like sore losers is weak. Lost some respect for them there.

smh on the people here opening about lebron's game 3 walkout like the series is over
you dont shake hand until the series is over you know that and what miami did now was unprofessional can't accept the fact lakers murdered you after thinking you have a chance to beat them.

Honestly don’t care at all but if this was lebron man the world would implode. Double standards he has to live by.

I don't blame them.

It must be pretty raw for them right now.

I'm sure they'll give their congratulations, publicly or privately, in due time.

Vivid memories of Lebron fleeing not only the court but the Cavs organization after a series loss. Since it wasn't the Finals it wasn't big enough to warrant sportsmanship though? For sure...

I was looking forward to the Butler-LeBron interaction too, but I think we as fans and those in the media honestly make this way too big of a deal...dude just lost a heartbreaker in the Finals...if he doesn't want to stay there to congratulate the guy that beat him and just wants some time to himself after, why should I care?

Don't think LeBron cares that much either.

And LeBron got killed for that too and Kobe Bryant did it the same season and got no hate. At least be consistent or it just seems like bull. Actually no, it doesn’t seem like it, it is bull.

I like it, show some spunk.

It's not in the rule-book you have to shake anyone's hand.

LeBron walked off without shaking the Magic's hands in 2009 and that story got airtime even during the finals. I think even David Stern commented on it during his pre finals press conference.
