Put KD on 2018 Cavs.Does He Have the Same Scoring Run LeBron Had?

So looking through highlights of the 2018 playoffs the other day, LeBron went completely crazy and had 8 40 point games and averaged like 34/9/9 on 62 TS%.
On one hand, his roster was pretty limited in terms of shot-creators and Kevin Love was a poor second option by the playoffs. On the other end, LeBron had so much spacing that definitely helped. Could KD have had this sort of playoff run scoring wise if he had as much spacing as LeBron?

No, because the Cavs would’ve lost in the first round.

1st round exit. Assuming he makes it to the Finals by some miracle. Sweep by the Warriors while getting blown out every game. KD will get his though a nice 30-35 ppg. Efficiency will plummet though we already saw the Dubs limit KD in the playoffs.

Simple answer. Just a worse result in every single way...

Nope because he’s not really close to Lebron as a player

I honestly don't think they get past the first round. Durant has never in his life had to win a series where his 2nd option barely cracked 10 ppg

KDs great but he ain’t that great and his playmaking, while really good ain’t at that level. With a team with no other real creators it’s not ideal for him. They do worse, in every way really.

Would be interesting to see what KD could do with his second best player being between Uncle Jeff Green and Larry Nance Junior. Kevin Love was awful in the 2018 playoffs.

KD isn't the same playoff scorer that LeBron is, he can't score as effectively against playoff defenses. Tbf basically only Jordan and Shaq match LeBron here. On top of that, KD is a much worse playmaker as well. So they probably lose in the first round.

KD is arguably the greatest skilled/purest SCORER ever, but as an overall PLAYER, he’s quite OVERRATED.

Nobody knows what would happen because it didn't happen.

East was so weak that year. The best team he faced was Boston without Kyrie or Hayward.
Durant would by far be the best player in the East. I see the same result.

They'd be worse in the RS and would probably be the 5th seed, so facing Indy in the 1st round without HCA. Indy probably beats them in 6. KD just isn't as good as LeBron and he sure as heck isn't as good as 2018 playoff LeBron.

Lebron's 2018 Playoffs run may be the greatest strech in terms of individual performance in the history of modern basketball. Put anybody on that team, they wouldn't even sniff the finals.

Go look at KD's playoff numbers before 2016. After 2012 he got worse every post-season. He's not in the same tier as LeBron as a playoff scorer.

You really think putting player x on player y's team is a good way to judge how good someone is?

I mean, it seems like a fair question. No method is perfect and it's all conjecture anyway, but we're talking about two MVP-level guys from the same era who play the same position.
It's not like we're talking about swapping Lakers Shaq out for Chris Paul.

He led the NBA in playoff scoring in 2013, 2014, and 2016. When did he get worse, and how is that not in the same tier as Lebron, who has only led 3 times?

LOL pretty selective years. I seem to remember him outscoring LeBron head to head in the Finals.
