No he's not, he's a quality PBP guy. Engaging voice, interacts with the color guy occasionally but doesnt go off on tangets, right level of excitement during big moments in games. That's what you want for that role.

I'm convinced this board just hates every single NBA announcer. Who do you actually like other than JVG? Is there anyone else?

RGM despises announcers. Every post I've seen about any announcer is mostly just people saying how trash they are.

Great signing. Not sure how you can say something bad about the dude. He is a bonafide pro.

I kind of like Mark Jones. He sometimes tries a little too hard and ends up sounding more dorky than cool.

But I think he's solid overall and generally an enjoyable listen. In the NY market we have Mike Breen and Ian Eagle so we're a little spoiled, but I wouldn't mind a bit having Mark Jones as my home team announcer.

Really looking forward to watching Kings games with a pro PBP commentator instead of "All Lives Matter" Napier constantly cutting off Christie to push his annoying catchphrase.
