This makes way too much sense. How is the league going to screw it up?

With the schedule set as playing each conference opponent 3 times regardless of division there's no need to do this

It actually doesn’t seem too matter much if you are going to play every team in conference 3 times anyway.

If the raptors did win would the championship stay in Tampa?

From a beautiful, pluralistic, cosmopolitan metropolis to a rightwing hellhole run by the functionary of a death cult.

Not liking this at all. Who cares about the weather. I really feel for our guys and their families, especially the rooks. They're going to miss out on the specialness of our city.

I agree, but it's not like you can do much in any big metropolis right, especially during a Covid wave in winter.

I think players would rather be in warm weather playing golf than stuck in a house all day where they can't really do much because of Covid restrictions.

Hillsborough County went for Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020, but hey, don’t let the facts get in the way.

What if they win a championship and they want to stay in Tampa? Where would you want to be all winter?

Did they? Good. Makes it slightly more palatable. Does little to change my opinion of the state though.

I have. And there's not a chance in hell, unless compelled to (as the raptors currently are), that I'd choose to live there over Toronto.

Then it's a good thing that you're not being forced to move to Tampa. There are worse places to spend a winter than Tampa. I think the players will be ok.

Indeed it is. I guess I should just be happy we get basketball at all this year.

Meanwhile, half of Canada spends their winters in Florida to get away from the cold. I'm sure the Raptor players are absolutely loving this turn of events, though they won't admit it publicly to make Toronto fans feel bad about their cold weather insecurity. Especially after Kawhi left.

ICYMI - FVV was totally on board with the team playing out of Tampa, on JJ Redick's pod. No need to feel sorry for these guys. They feel sorry for you. lol.

Ive been to both. Toronto is better imo. All Tampa has is retired old conservatives. Not my cup of tea, but I can see the appeal for different groups.
